The setup looks great - I look forward to seeing what it looks like in the enclosure.

I want to put a fuse on the power line for the amplifier. Because of space constraints, I'd like to use a miniblade fuse. Radioshack only has big inline miniblade fuse holders Does anyone know where I can get a miniblade fuse holder for a circuit board? I'd love to get a couple that look like the one on DCDC-USB (the thing holding the red 10A fuse):

EDIT: Nevermind, found them on Ebay. I'm surprised these aren't more readily available

    i was gonna say digikey:

i don't like the way the one is used on the dc-dc-usb. imo, there is too much metal showing. it is asking for something to rub against those contacts..

Hmm maybe I'll order a couple of those as well, thanks soundman!

Gah, the digikey relays I ordered are too big!

doh!, should have looked at the product size specs before recommending-- 30mm long is pretty big...

could you try them and see if they work with your arduino voltage before getting some suitably-sized replacements?

yeah that's the plan! I'll be working on this all day tomorrow and I'll keep you posted. I don't really need 30A relay - the amp will eat 50W at 12VDC max, so 4A ought to be plenty. Do you know of any SPST relays that can handle 5A at 12V? Radioshack is really letting me down with their poor selection - I'm gonna have to wait another week until I get the new relays.

i imagine that digikey/goldmine/allied has something that fits the bill...

i'm working tomorrow, so i won't see any updates until later in the day, so don't post all day for my sake..

Damn it, it looks like the amp's capacitor is getting in the way of the power supply. I think it's time to give up on the all in one idea and just put the nettop into the glove compartment

Cancel that! I've been thinking abou the layout change I'd need over the weekend. I think I'll have to change my sound cards to something more reasonable, and also probably only keep one of them. They are horribly space-inefficient: they are big and round, so the plugs are all going in different direction. I'll lower the computer block by one standoff, redo the top panel to accomodate for the power supply and try to find a sound card with 2 outs and a line-in to fit into the leftover space.
