Nice job! Did you figure out your thump issue? I may have over looked what you are using for your PSU but I know the "intelligent PSU's" have anti-pop (thump) like the M4-ATX.

it sounds like it is just some artifacts of the amp chipset starting up.
the couple options i can think of are to either keep the amp on all the time, or to connect relays to the speaker outputs-- to disable the speakers until after the amp turns on.
oh, wait, isn't there a mute pin on the chipset? if you were to connect the amp to power up with the rest of the carpc, but then make the windows application control that mute pin-- that might get rid of the sounds....

I think I have this amp, but I'm still in the process of installing power from my battery to a UPS/22AH SLA battery in the trunk.
The diagrams on the ebay site -

Shows in the upper LH corner a connector with 3 pins, top St-BY, middle mute and bottom grnd.
I have a M2-ATX with Anti-thump feature, I hope to use these connections to prevent thump.
I looked at the manual for the DCDC USB, but didn't find Anti-Thump. Maybe you could use some other pinout on the motherboard to run to St-by or mute to prevent Thump.

Today was the install day!
Good news first - I hooked up the computer to the harness and it worked! Everything started as expected.
Bad news - the "standard double din" black box does not fit into standard double dinI took out the dash bezel and dremeled it down a bit. Tomorrow I'm gonna go out and get some Bondo to smooth out the cuts.
Also, the black box enclosure does not have pre-drilled mounting holes - it has a lot of holes, but none of them match up with the standard ones.
careful-- standard body filler like bondo won't adhere to plastic parts for very long-- different expansion/contraction ratio's.. check some of the stickies in the fabrication section--there are many recommendations for better=performing materials.

i don't know if autozone has anything like that..
it might be better to make a thread about it in the fab section, just be sure to list the type of material the bezel is-- usually there is a stamp on the back that will tell you.

If you guys can read schematics, could you make sense out of the ST-BY and Mute functions? It looks like I should be able to short Pins 1-3 on J1 to get ST-BY and Pins 2-3 to get Mute, but neither seems to work - shorting them does nothing. Any ideas?

@nivanov, I got my amplifier the other day, but I haven't hooked it up yet. There are a few things that I have to work on before I get to that stage. Oh and I actually emailed the seller and asked him how to use the standby/mute, but I don’t expect he will give me an answer because I already asked him about what fuse to use and he didn’t know. I am also curious about the 4-way input. Does that mean it can have four separate inputs and if so how do you switch between them?
