I see the 2 SMD components just above the large cap between the main IC and the hacked up connector these guys solder on. It appears they cloned the normal tda7850 and added this stuff the fix the problems. Too bad mp3 car can't get the manufacture to make this by default.

As much as I want mp3car to get a lot of business, I don't feel bad purchasing TDA7850 Denoiser kit from ebay - it's considerably cheaper and superior to any kits offered in mp3car store. I also think the TDA7850 markup in mp3car's store isn't justified - $23 shipped vs $80 plus shipping? I understand dealing with a US-based business and more product support cost money, but this is more than 3x the markup for the same exact product.

OMG this is hysterical,... So before I'd discovered the denoiser board on e-bay I'd e-mailed bybyte asking if they have the tda7850 with pinouts and not RCA connectors. They just replied last night offering to sell me the denoise tda7850 for 50$ hahaha

So they offered to sell you an upgrade to the unit they sell for $70, for $50, while it's offered for $25 on ebay?

Also Chris at mo-co-so is pretty cool and the folks at case tronic. I got the minitouch 700 + silver bybyte for 200, and the via p830 + daughter board + 2gb of memory and boot tested for 300. Just need a radio now. Power supply I'm leaning towards opus. Any suggestions nivanov

Overall it sounds pretty nice. There was absolutely no pop when I turned it on.
I bought smaller standoffs in Radioshack for 2.99 a 4pack. The standoffs are female on both ends, which is nice - a 40 nut would not have fit on that board. Now, onto installing this thing into the case!

I see 2 leads for the amplifier power, I would like to ask if the cars leads for battery go straight into the amplifier? or into the m2-atx and then somehow mapped to the amplifer? am I suppose to split the incoming car engine leads, or is there a 3rd party board that is used to divide the power incoming from car?

You can connect it to the battery, but that means it will always be powered on. You can try to use the Stand-By function of the amp, but it will still use some power from the battery. I connected it to the ACC line and used a relay to start it muted and unmute it when Windows starts.
