I did my car with B-Quiet and eDead v3 liquid for the hard to reach places..

The entire glovebox area has a lot of thin metal. I removed all the panels and did 2-3 coats of eDead on everything.

I used B-Quiet on the doors/hatch/trunk and then Teklite over top.

Hey SKiTLz how many feet did you buy? Im thinking 50sq ft for doors and half the trunk. Is that enough?

i forgot to check your location--second skin is based in the US, so it might be cheaper to use b-quiet...

i was thinking about this today, and until i realized you were up in canada, i was going to offer 2 old dynaxorb's mats that i had laying around(got them free with a pair of old components).. my old car had them installed, but i took them out when i sold it. but my new car has front speakers that angle towards the seats, so there is really no flat surface to mount them to, and less chance of reflection inside the doors..

anyways, if your still interested, i'll dig 'em up--you just gotta pay for shipping (which probably won't be worth it, imo)..

Been a few years since I did it.. But I think that is what I bought.

You are right Soundman the shipping is crazy, the additional cost was 100.00 for Second Skin.

Its all good, thanks for the offer even free the shipping kills it B-Quiet is free shipping and cost 130.00 for a 50 sq ft roll, they told me to purchase it from Ebay.

You Canadian people dont buy from B-Quiet's website, I called them and let them know that now the dollar is at par, and they are located in Canada, the cost should not be MORE if you purchase in Canada. They then told me to go to Ebay and buy as its the same price as the U.S. and free shipping... go figure.

Deconstruction is so much fun! Not happy with the battery terminal, its very weird and don't think I will be able to use my Tsunami battery terminals, looks like I will have to find a 0/1 ring terminal, tried to find one with no avail. Really enjoy working with this car, very little push pins to deal with. there are some located in the engine bay, not the interior. The center dash where the cubby/radio is located have some screws you need to remove there are several sites that help you with that.

The center console where the cup holders are located are 4 screws, move the seats forward you will find 2 screws at the back of the console/armrest. The other 2 are located where the dash radio console and the armrest/shifter console meet. You will need to deal with some PITA wiring connectors inside the console they must be detached in order to remove it out of the car, this is for the models with heated seats.

The seats have 4 caps simply lift up to reveal the screws located on the four corners of the seat rail, move the seat forward and back to reveal the cap/screws. Due to the airbags I disconnected the battery after unscrewing the seats. The lift the seat you will find more PITA electrical disconnects and you will have to cut some factory twist ties. You can then remove the seats.

Rear quarter panels/trunk was easy except one part, you partially have to open the panel closest to you on the strut bar, no biggie but just be aware.

B-Quiet deadener is now installed on driver side. Pulled speaker out, need to cut out old speaker to make spacer for new speakers.

Hmmm going to be a close fit for the USB WIFI adapter to fit under the strut bar panel.

Yesterday was the first official day of my staycation install and got a ton accomplished.

Both doors sound proofed
area behind passenger and cubby sound proofed
0/1 gauge is now connected via distro block in the passenger cubby
GPS installed
OBDII installed
SPEAKERS INSTALLED - this was the biggest hassle ever.

Decided to use one of the button blanks as a place to install the CPU power indicator, LCD power Indicator, photo sensor and remote control sensor for the LCD panel. I do not want to drill a single whole in my dash but needed a place for this stuff. The blank will go where the button blank is located beside the VDC button above the left knee and will solder the connections to the LCD panel and carputer.

Very excited about today. If all goes well, no snags everything should be done. The custom Sub box and JL Audio 3v3 is still in transit so that will have to be installed after holidays. Not so sure how the car will react with half of its electronics disconnected during the testing phase. I am going to hook everything up, test if all goes well install the panels and seats. Wednesday they are calling for rain all day, so if not done today, Thursday at the latest.

The big snag seems to be the weather, my garage is too small to work on it, so I am at the mercy of Mother Nature. Rained all day today and been very cold Mon-Tues. Things are moving slow. Most of the panels and parts are in the garage so I worked on filling the armrest with stuff like a reset switch, Ipod connector.... oh crap forgot a USB cable...

tomorrow tidy wiring, install carputer, amp and connect battery to test. Fingers crossed.
