yes.. I'm sure there's a setting in there that allows it to mirror its output via hdmi. On my Gingerbread its in settings / display / tvout. I'm sure its something similar on yours.. let me know :-)

From what I remember when I had my 10.1, before touchwiz4 was released it was missing alot of the widgets.. I would also expect to see it in the settings /about tablet or something like that.. will say 3.1 touchwiz maybe.

To enable TV-Out, go to Applications > Settings > Sound and display > TV out. By the way, the TV system in Malaysia is PAL.

When TV-Out is enabled, the sound will come out from the TV speaker making watching movie using Samsung Galaxy S a different experience.
I know this is for the phone.. but this would also explain why you didn't get any sound when you tried it. :-) You just need to click an option on your pad...

Thanks for the find. I was looking for stuff like that last night, but was not seeing it. Again I was tired, and maybe i just didn't pay attention very well. SO I'll try and find everything tonight and see where I'm at then. Wow man, thanks for all the help. It's easing me a little bit. I'll feel better when I get home, find this stuff, and plug it back in and it works. Wish I was home now!

I just got on "The Galaxy Tab Forum" and searched display settings and found a few different threads on what you said for the Galaxy 7 tablet, but none for the 10.1. So I'll check it out when I get home, like I said, and hopefully it's there. If it is, then that should, SHOULD, solve the problems and I should be up and running and doing back flips in my hallway, much to my daughters's enjoyment! I can just see it now, "again, again daddy, again again!" My biggest fans! :0)

have you tried the hdmi directly into an hdmi tv? I'd try to confirm the hdmi output alone straight to an hdmi device before bringing the converter & all else into the mix...

the galaxy s phones go into "fast charge" more when connected to the original charger. Iirc the way it does that is by shorting the data pins and the phone recognizes that

Maybe I'm not doing this right. I'm trying things like Pandora, and Netflix, cause to me an audio and video signal is an audio and video signal. So maybe I have to go through a different application in order to play these, but that would then make the reason for getting a tablet null and void cause that's part of the whole purpose I got one was for streaming video and radio.

At least I thought I did the wall charger. I'll have to go try it again tonight. I was so brain fried last night between being nervous about setting it all up, and then it not working I was frustrated. I'll post up pictures of what I did, and maybe someone has an idea of what to do next.
