If the bit one works, great!
You mean something like this?

And another thought on the head rest idea, I could always fabricate a couple of frames for the monitors to sit in. I don't think it'd be that hard to do.

EXACTLY LIKE THAT!!! Actually I was thinking something that was just stationary, but that makes me think of some kind of slide that I could use an actuator with some drawer slides to have a screen pop up and slide back down! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhh another project to design! HA!
It looks cool, but rather difficult.

What the screen? Did you make that yourself?
so correct me if I'm wrong but after reading through 10 pages of that thread, these screens arent too bad. If I can just make a head rest mount for it, it should be fine to use for my application right? Barring that the monitor test today works on the vga. Of course if the sound doesn't work when the screens are off, then we're back at square one which would be an hdmi monitor or 2.
No I didn't make that, I think that's the stock Chrysler 300 setup? I just googled images, this came.
Yes, the screen is pretty good, especially given the small controller, HDMI & DVI input, etc.

The samsung screen? I thought it was only vga, composite, and usb for touch? Which brings me to another question, I haven't seen asked yet over there, do you need to have the usb board hooked up if you're not going to use the touch screen ability?
Yes, halfway through that thread, the vendor introduced a new better controller. With HDMI input and much smaller I think.
No, you don't need the touch screen at all. Actually if you look for his auctions (Derrick NY I guess), he used to have just the screen for $85+shipping, no touch; with the new controller+price structure, I don't know.

Oh really! I must not have gotten that far yet. I just read through where they "fixed the resolution issue" and the tech worked through the weekend. If that's the case, then maybe i'll just buy a pair right now! I'll have to go look and see if I can find them. Oh man, I'm getting excited!
