Here is a quick video of my install. It is poor quality. I will try to do one during the day and get someone to hold the camera and start a new thread with a proper write up. But you will get the idea. The video doesn't do the install justice. It looks great in the car. I was going to motorize it and pull it out ala fishman's ipad install. But I thought if I was really going to take it in and out I wanted it to be quick and easy.

Also, ordered my converter for the composite video. And my car audio place (high End in Philly) is going to get me the BitOne. Does $600 sound right? They have been pretty good so far on price so I think it is.

read most of the thread, I can't help thinking that after spending so much on the converter, then the 2 rear screens... at that point it might be worth considering instead just going for individual tablets in the rear. can open up a whole lot of possibilities, including multi-zone audio, opening the possibilities of head phone use or main stereo output for each. audio switching network with 3.5mm headphone jacks is easy & inexpensive, and also allowing independent usage of each station. of course this may not be good if your dealing with very young children incapable of selecting what they wish I guess... integration/install may be an issue I guess too. just a thought to share for what it's worth

Ok so I got the Tablet out a little before I had to come back to work tonight. I got the charger out, wall charger that is, and started to think about it and I said "self, if this charger for the wall takes the usb cord, and the car charger takes the usb cord, then why would the voltage be any different here than there." So out came the DMM and the charger, and I took a little test. This is what I came up with!

Not sure why I needed 2 views but I took it!

So 5v for charging it is! Just thought I'd share that.

I have been driving with it in for a couple days with no issues. It is hard to see in the video but it is recessed in the dash almost an inch and it is a very tight fit. So my only real danger is slamming on the breaks real hard. It has yet to move at all on me.

As for adding tablets to the back, I have thought about it. Not sure yet.

Yeap. I was thinking of mounting 2 7" tablets in the head rests. But most likely will not. I think I am going to go with a couple HD screens and a PS3.

I've already got my Pioneer Screens or I'd have gone with HD's too. If my girls were older and could actually handle the tablets I'd think about that too. But not now! At 4 and 6 I don't think so!

It will look good. So are you doing the install yourself? I didn't have the skills so a local car audio place did an amazing job for me. High End Audio in Philly.

Also, one other thing. you have the Bitone.1 right? not the Bitone. I am going to get charged $1,000 for the Bitone.1 where as the normal Bitone is only $600. Does that sound right?

Yes I am. That's why so much research and digging is going into it. I want to make sure i have a plan in place before I even start. I have the Bit One.1, the one with all the fixed problems. The Bit One had some problems in it, i.e. noise issues, etc. and the .1 fixed those.

In all honesty, I wouldn't buy one for a grand! You can look around and find them on forums for about half that! I'd not pay over $600.00 for them. If you're not real confident in the tuning portion of it, or you think it might be a little complex for you, the Bit One that is, then you may want to go with the Bit 10d. It's new on the market. If I'd not already had the Bit One in my possession, I'd probably have picked one of those up. Sounds like they're pretty easy to work with and great processors as well. I'm not implying anything by that by the way, I was just offering other suggestions if you wanted. But I would definitely not pay $1000.00 for one.
