I just ordered all items that I need to get this thing started. So I'm guessing by next week I'll be ready to bench test and then start the install! WOOHOO!!
Ok so due to money issues, I'm going to downgrade to a lesser converter. The one I was going to buy was too expensive and then to add all the other components on top, was just going to be too much at the moment. SO I'm getting a different one and then we'll see how it sounds from there. If I need to down the road, I'll go to the other stuff.

Well I was going to see about changing this thread title to: Samsung Galaxy 10.1 custom Civic install, but I can't do that it appears. I'm wondering if I should just start a new thread for the build now.
I can change it if you wish & I can move it to worklogs too if you wish, lmk![]()
MY NEWEST INSTALL:modded infiniti fx with big screen
first windows carpc install........my liquid cooled LVDS screen :D
Oh man, that would be awesome. Then I'd have all the info I've found through all the help here, and if anyone was to want to do something like this they could use this as a reference tool. I appreciate that! Thanks!
Love your quote too btw, about typing and driving!
ok, moved to worklogs & re-titled, good luck with it![]()

Awesome thanks!
So I am looking at the differences between the BitOne.1 and BitTenD. Looks like the TenD has optical in not coaxial. So I would need that extra converter. No big deal there. Also, the One has 8 outputs and the TenD has 5.
I need to understand how that effects me. I have 3-way components in the front, rear fill, a sub in the back. I am running them passive, Front, Rear, Sub. So I think the 5 channel output is fine. Right?
My problem is I got an amazing deal on some high end focal stuff. But I don't really understand the best way to use it.
Anyway, sorry for hijacking this thread.
What converter did you go with?
Are you running your front stage full passive or just the mid and tweet? If you run your mid and tweet passive and then your mid baas on their own channel your at 4 channels and havent even touched the rear fill our subs. Now if your fronts are running full passive then you only use two channels and you have two channels for rear fill and one for subs. So if the front are not full passive the only way you can do it is to go with the bit one and the 8 channels.
I'm running full active three way up front, rear fill running passive, and then subs on the bit one.the rear full runs off the center channel and the subs on the sub single channel.
The converter I got was the portta pxrc0102 from amazon.com. A lot cheaper than the gefen. We'll have to wait and see how it works out.
So here is what I have. A Focal Dual Monitor Amp hooked up to 3 way Utopia Be 7s for my front stage. I believe based on this amp it is full passive as it is a dual mono amp.
I then have a Focal Power 2.150 for a set of K2's for my rear fill.
Finally I have a Focal Power 1.800 for my sub.
So based on this I am assuming I am running a fully passive setup. And therefor all I would need is 5 channels.
I was looking at going full active, but then I would have to give up rear fill. But you are running 3 way active with rear fill. So I am not completly sure the best way I should do this.
And I think I will wait on the converter until I hear from you.
