2010 Nissan Titan with Motorola Photon dock

Hi Guys,
I am brand new here! I have done a few searches and haven't been able to find answers to a few questions I have. I figured I would start a work log so other can help me along the way (if you don't mind).

So here's my idea:
I am going to mount a Motorola Photon HD dock just above my head unit (Kenwood DNX9980). I will run an HDMI cable from the dock to an HDMI to composite scaler. RCA from the scaler to the Kenwood head unit.

Questions:
1) What is the best way to get power to the scaler and the dock???
The dock's ac adapter says 100-240v input and 12v output. The scaler's ac adapter says 100-240v input and 5v output. Honestly, I don't know what that means???

I was thinking this for the scaler http://www.powerstream.com/dda.htm. I plan on installing a power inverter but don't want to have to have it running all the time. Any ideas for the dock???

Also, side note:
Here's my idea for someone to install an android tablet. Custom install HTC Evo View into your dash. MHL adapter into the tablet (I have one for sale). Micro HDMI cable to HDMI/composite scaler. RCA cable from scaler to Kenwood KOS-V1000. RCA cable from KOS-V1000 to second monitor (my Titan has a perfect spot if I added the Nav bezel) for bluetooth, radio, satellite radio, back up cam, garmin nav if you wanted a back-up for no cell service, dvd's, settings, etc... That would be a sweet setup! I would do it if I had the time...

It means that the AC adapter takes an input range of 100-240vAC (making it suitable for use in many countries) and outputs 5vDC (for the scaler) and 12vDC (for the Photon dock).

That will work for the scaler.

Since you need both 12v and 5v output, I'd think you would be better off with a device that can provide both voltages.
A Carnetix P2140 can do that. So can the Opus 80w unit.

If you want to hack a bit, a DC-DC ATX PSU can be put into a dummy mode and provide both 5vDC and 12vDC, as these are standard voltages used by every PC.
