I use it for the handsfree profile. I have that bluetooth device connected to the same channel as my tablet so calls from my phone and music from my tablet go through the same channel on my mini amp. You should not have a problem connecting your tablet to your phone's wifi and having it connected to the Kiwi at the same time. Two different wireless technologies.
Yea I've been looking into this whole thing and as of right now it doesn't seem possible. I or someone will have to develop and app that re-writes the bluetooth stack within the tablet so it shows as a Headset, not a Tablet, allowing the phone to send it's audio over to the tablet.

Then I thought about it and that would mean the Tablet would have TWO BT connections, one from my phone one from the Kiwi... so it wouldn't work anyway. I think I may have found a solution though. I am currently looking for a BT headset that has a USB charging port as well as a 3.5mm headphone out jack (there are quite a few out there that do surprisingly). I'm going to have to get one of these take it apart, then re-wire the microphone (extend the wires) so it's up on my gauge cluster in front of my while I drive, and I'll use the 3.5mm jack and convert it to RCA and plug that into the AUX input of my EQ. So I'll just have to answer the phone call's on my phone, then press the button my EQ to switch the input to the phone. (This input will be on an RCA splitter with a second RCA -> 3.5mm wire coming out for friends to plug in their iPod's when they are in the car with me)

As of right now, this is my current proposed solution... we'll see what happens as I get the tablet into the dash and the project further underway.

Front Alpine 6.5" Component Speakers are now installed... Amplifier is under the passenger seat

Hopefully Next weekend I can start working on installing the EQ and working on this tablet mounting.... still unsure of how I'm going to make it removable, I just know that I am going to do so... somehow...

Update first post with text, pictures coming later today...

Equalizer installed yesterday, took about 6 hours, but it looks GREAT! Tablet install coming today... possibly just a permanent mount for now, will change that later... what a project this has been, but I can't wait until it's complete!

Updated first post with pics... Tab is mounted non-removably for now... not sure how/if I'll be changing that... but we'll see... I still need to buy my BT Headset and wire that up, but for now I got the basic's (Music) working as I had planned, just have to decide on which Music App I want to set as default, lol...

Out of all the music apps the most awesome I find is Powerapp. There is a free version but its well worth paying for it. The built-in equalizer and other features pump out crazy sound making your tablet or smartphone sound bigger than it is...as if you have an aftermarket stereo. no joke.

Thanks, I've heard of it, but haven't taken the time to check it out yet... definitely will do.. I was using the stock Music app last night, but this morning on my drive to work I was using MixZing, it has a good interface with decent sized buttons that are easy to hit while driving, but the song/artist title are very small at the top of the screen.
