2004 VW Jetta GLI CarPC and more

The Mac Mini install is now complete.

I added a Pac Audio LD-10 to boost the audio signal as a result of the signal loss through the ground loop isolator.

The stock monsoon rocks, never sounded so good.

When the Mac Mini starts the following desktops are loaded:
Sirius
iTunes
My favorite FM station through tunein.com
Google earth.

The local FM station is on when it boots.

Google earth tracks my position using the on board GPS.

With the Mac Mini I see no reason to have front end software.

I just setup desktops and can simply swipe from one window to the next.

I don't think so, but I had them and just installed them.

Who know what I might use them for, possibly trouble shooting?

Maybe a microphone under the hood so I can here the turbo spool up, LOL!

Where did you get the holder for the touchpad and how is it mounted to the center console? Install looks great.

It is a bracketron universal cup holder mount. Found it for $25 on amazon.

The boot times will improve when I replace the harddrive with a Solid State Drive.

Had the windows re-tinted today. The tint that was on the car was cheep. Needless to say I lost the rear window defroster when the old tint was removed. Good thing I live in Florida.

Too bad the original owner was cheap!

Looks much better. Now you can't see me and my toys.

I added an AT&T USB connect modem to the Mac Mini today.

Now I do not have to hassle with connecting my iPhone each and every time.

Just keeps getting better.

I also order an adapter cable that will connect the USB modem to my external antenna.

This should add about 5db signal gain and allow me to keep the modem hidden in the trunk.

OBDII for MAC

I found a program from Yhasi called Movi and Movi Pro.

This program should provide all of the OBDII basics but like all other will not supply boost.

I am having trouble connecting the software to my PLX WiFi.

Yhasi's tech support has been fantastic.

Emails are going back and forth, I supplied screen shots of the setup today.
