i'd love to see video of the install when u do it. my car isnt quite as nice as yours but i do like my stuff to be different then others. as for building up a good system im starting with the amp first then branching out from there since i have my pc in the car now. im just using the alpine universal amp which is only 200 watts and it's small its the ktp-445u/ it does the trick for what i need right now. I am going to upgrade to the PDX-V9 but thats cause i can get it at cost ,because i work at an audio shop. For the speakers im going with JL speakers all around . and doing a custom single 12 inch sub maybe a type-R alpine but havent decided. and you can use 4 g thats fine i've done multiple system with just 4 gauge i wasnt sure about the wattage on your system . i actually would suggest an alpine amp they have quick connection hook ups that would be perfect for your car setup in mind since it seems like an in and out setup .

cool thanks, I'll look for the alpine quick disconnecting amps. The grass is always greener on the other side. My car might look nicer than yours for some people but there'll always be people who'll prefer yours over mine. If I were to take my car back to Japan it wouldn't be as nice compared to other modded skylines. I just like it when people do projects themselves. Where you can see how they got creative and worked around problems. Plus there's that huge sense of satisfaction when you built something yourself. If something looks/feels/sounds wrong you'll most likely know what it is. I do have a nemesis though.. electricity. I can't seem to wrap my head around vehicle electrical system and audio systems. The basics I got down but nothing further than that. Plus I get a little intimidated when working with electrical stuff since I was electrocuted several times throughout my life. No fun.

I'll also see what I can put together when I install the Easycar system. I don't do videos too much. I usually keep a picture journal with write ups of projects. My engine rebuild journal is already 45 pages long and it's only 3/4 finished. I only have one video with that write up and it's only when I first started the engine after everything was rebuilt. I plan to do one with my infotainment/pc/audio system too.. I'll detail the easycar piece so you can see what you're getting if you wanted to buy one as well. I wish there was a paint shop I could use over here so I can paint my car myself too. I painted the engine bay and it seemed pretty easy. Just need a steady hand, keep the paint even and don't let it run.

Do you know anything about low profile subs? The ones where they're not so thick? I read some reviews that they put out decent sound. Those would really be ideal for me especially if I'm going to be taking them in and out every now and then. I'm thinking about putting up my old system on e-bay and buying a new system with up to date amps and speakers. All of my stuff is over 8 years old... still sounds good but might as well update that part of my car since everything else is getting a cleaned up. I'll probably start with the PDX-V9.. you sold me lol. and work around that. Is there a specific brand of speakers that work with alpine amps? I see you're getting JL.. good reviews. but I also see that infinity and a few others are just as good. Is it just personal choice or is there some hidden "know how" that sways you one way or the other? I don't want to buy any other component that cost as much as that amp though and I'd probably couldn't finish the audio system piece until after August when I saved enough loot.

Sorry guys. Are you talking about the car alarm post? When I previewed it there wasn't a problem but now I can't see it either. I tried editing it. I have to go to work now (6:55am in Korea) but I'll try to resize the pics smaller and upload them again to see if that does the trick.

    **EDIT**
Resized the pics smaller and it seems to work now.

u were saying that that short wire from the pust start button is supposed to go in the brain i think u should double check it looks like theres an extension wire inside the bag i doubt they would give u something so short that wouldnt reach the brain if u were to hide it.and i've seen a few other companies who do the push to start systems and some have of the systems actual buttons u would find in a toyota or a nissan car and some have the stick on . im not a fan of the stick on button .
