1998 Camaro Worklog Starting over, New setup for 2010
Thanks for the suggestion, I just checked it out and it looks like a great media player but I don't think it will work for me. It looks like it's EQ only works for songs played through this player. I play most of my music through streaming apps, like the built in player that will play songs through google play, Pandora, Spottily, YouTube, pod cast apps, ect...
dang man beat me too it i was about to install my nexus 7 in my dash now i know its possible. I was holding my nexus 7 up to my dash on my s4 and was like this is possible!!! Thanks man for the diy hows the gps signal in the dash im loving my 16 gig nexus 7.
can we get a link to that bluetooth player you have? I found this one on the net today and it seems to have good reviews.

I don't have constant wifi, so I'm still trying to figure out my storage issues. I'm wondering is the mini usb cvan power a usb hub. from where I've found so far, you can buy a mini usb to female port, then connect a hub to that, but there's no telling if the tablet will power it. I can run a charger and external hard drive into that. I have about 38 gigs of music and another 5 gigs of music videos. (I have amps, subwoofers, component speakers, etc...)
I've also found this ( http://www.gizmag.com/iogear-wireles...station/19471/ ) that allows you to put your usb over wifi , but I think that's overkill. The docking station has been posted on the net, so I'm thinking I can work something up with that.
Great work djsun, the system you create with bezel, magnet and elastic strips is awesome!
I tried CarUltra but at last I'm going better with the stock Android homescreen.
I'm trying too to find a decent bluetooth audio receiver, I have just ordered one of the cheapest I can find on ebay. I'll report back to my worklog as soon as it arrives.
oh, btw the volume app seems perfect, I have just installed in my tab via web store.. tomorrow will check it out on the tab![]()
First off, very interesting install. I like what you've done so far.
For the bluetooth gateway goolge "blackberry bluetooth stereo gateway". I have one of these that I use for wireless audio when I'm in hotels etc with mu iPhone and I believe it exhibits the on/off behaviour you're looking for. As it's made by Blackberry, the build and sound quality is great (as good as bluetooth audio can be). There is an older version of the gateway (which is what I have) that you can probably pick up for cheap now. I read a few months ago that they released a new version which is pretty much the same as the old version with NFC.
djsun, I have to say a great THANK YOU for the Volume control app.. it's the one I am serching for so long! It's perfect, it stays on top and you can also set it to stay on top of the notification bar!
However, I just watched your first video.. nice setup! Unfortunately here in Italy we haven't Pandora nor Google Music or Netflix, so no music\video streaming service :-\
Some users report a small audio lag using bluetooth for redirecting audio to amplifiers.. not to worry about listening music but watching video/youtube it seems to be noticeable. Did you notice some delay?
This is so funny surfing the web I found your post on this tab very nice work. hahah i just did this a couple months ago. here is how mine turned out with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
