Very interesting. I just picked up a 2009 nissan armada, and it also has the color information screen, but does not have DVD, rear camera or NAV. I'm thinking of trying to tie something into the screen, but honestly don't know what modules i have and don't. Looking at the wiring diagrams on alldata, it apears i likely have the av control module, but not much else.
So, do you have notes on you're pinout experiments that might help me get a head start?
I did notice in my investigations of the wiring diagrams, that at least in my 2009 vehicle, the display unit (screen) actually looks like it has both RGBS and COMP inputs. Just a matter of figuring out how to tell it to switch inputs I guess.
I have just purchased a 2006 Nissan Teana 3.5 JM and have started looking around for some solutions to the Japanese computer interface. I have maximum admiration for your work! Would love to try it but really don't have the tech know-how to make all that come together!
I have figured out how to pair my phone to bluetooth using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqp2wsTPUPM, but wanted to ask you how to go about setting up an audio aux input for the system. There is a TV/AUX button on the console (left of the white buttons in your first picture) and when I go to aux with this button I see a picture of an rca cable (or similar). I'd like to set up a 3.5 mm jack input (to use an ipod etc) that becomes live when I press that button. Any ideas how I'd go about that?
Inside the drivers arm rest is a cable with a strange connector which I suspect may be an input point but don't know for sure (photo below).
Thanks in advance, Malc
