EDIT: OMFG, I take it back! They work. I decided to take a VM70 and set the MK802 to 480p and it worked. I see it perfectly. So that means its most likely the cr@ppy Lilliput unit. I could just be this Lilliput is dead. I'll try the one in my car tomorrow.
EDIT EDIT: But the touch screen on the VM70 is non responsive at all, and thats testing with 2 units, both in working order. I think maybe I driver will have to be created.
For my purposes, Android doesn't support the range of applications I need. I am an Amateur Radio operator, and plan to use the CarPC in support of emergemcy communications in addition to In Car Entertainment. I will be m0nitorimg two different two way radios, at least one digital voice stream via the Internet, and my cellphone via Bluetooth.
There is a file you need to copy for the resistive touchscreens to work. If you use capacitive touchscreens this is not an issue since they don't need calibrated. I had to do this on android x86 and i will say resistive screens suck if they are used as your main screen with android.

OK, I decided that all the equipment will work, and eventually I will get touch working. So I have placed my order for the 5 remaining MK802 and 6 remaining HDMI to VGA converters.
I am also changing an aspect of my design. Originally I was going to have the Tablet and MK808 switchable via a HDMI switch. I realized I honestly didnt need that feature. But then I realized the Car PC has HDMI port, so I can now switch to that. To control the PC, I will use an app called Ultimate Mouse. Simply use the mouse app on the MK808, switch HMDI switch and I should be able to control it.
Not sure if I explained how audio will work. Basically I bought a device by Cables to Go. Its a 3.5mm 2X2 Matrix Switch. You have 4 3.5mm ports on the back. Two Inputs for 2 items. In my case Tablet and MK808. Then you have 2 outputs for 2 items. In my case Car PC 7.1 Audio Processor and Passenger headphone jacks. By default everything will play what the tablet is playing. If the rear wants to use headphone and hear the MK808, then I simply hit the Output 2 button. That will tell headphones to switch to Output 2. Say that I am not doing anything, so I can allow them to use main speakers, so I hit the Output 1 button and now the MK808 is on speakers. Say though that I am using navigation and do not want to go with out hearing it, I simply get the switches LED lights to both be on input 1 and the audio will mix. My only issue is that when power is lost it resets the switch. Good thing is I have a massive battery in the back that has nothing to do but look pretty. The audio switch will be connected to it directly.
I am now wondering why you want a tablet + the MK808? I understand the other MK units for the passenger terminals.
I have now decided that for an Android build, I will go with all tablets and a cellular LTE wifi hotspot. This will have every client in the vehicle access each other. A small PC to serve up media and any cameras (maybe). At this point most folks that may ride with me on any long enough drive have tablets. Oh, and a remote desktop app for the driver screen to maintain the PC.

Basically the MK808 is for shared viewing. Say that everyone wants to watch the same porn (sorry im a perv) or wants to play a 2,4,6 player game. It will play on all the screens. The other six units are strictly for independent stuff for the user. I know what your thinking though, why not have the tablet do driver and rear stuff, well what if I forget the tablet? Also I do not want either the Tablet nor the MK808 to worry about duties the other has to preform. Also all the programs like Sling Player will be on the MK808, since it will only allow one user to use it. If for some reason I do forget the tablet, I can still pump all my entertainment. The tablet is basically only for OBD2, Phone, Text, Nav, Music and other driver orientated stuff.Quote:
