Nope. The camera actually is backwards. To show, when you come into the first turning lane to turn right, you can look at the camera and see that a car is coming up to you on your passenger side but it actually passes on the driver side.

I have been going back and forth with CustomGadz. He has been trying to help me with a solution to the touchscreen issue. While brainstorming, he said something that triggered an idea. I was sitting in my office chair, which has arms rests. I thought, hmmmm, it would kinda be a bummer to always have to reach up. What if I build multi-touch track pads into the car instead. What do you guys think of that idea?

OMG, I do feel old. I started on here when I bought my truck. Now I finished paying it off. Basically the track pad would replace the touchscreen. Because this is for the rear and passenger seats, the touchscreen isnt 100% important. In fact it may be more comfortable for them because they can just sit back. Here is what I have purchased for testing.

Now when I saw this thing, I lit up. This could potentially replace the touchscreens and pac-mini units I use to switch the seat KVMP units. Currently the Pac-mini is emulating the buttons needed to do audio and visual switching. If this mini keyboard has the proper buttons, I can kill the pac-mini and all its wiring. I wanted to go BT, but with these units I would have to reflash them, then the issue of always worrying if they are charged. These are USB, so always connected and do not need recharging. Basically the only TS would be the tablet. Since I need my hands to drive, lol.

i ordered one for testing. I am not going to buy all 6 like in the past and be stuck with them. Learned my lesson on that one.

As you can see, I was smart this time around. Rather than try to get the car pc into the cabin below, I simply built it on top of it. The result is a much cleaner design and a way better way to cable management.
