Sometimes its always the easy things that make everything seem so traumatic.

The keyboards can switch the KVMP switches, but the mouse doesn't work. So I will have to use the mini-pac units, which is no big deal.

There is one issue I need to fix though. For some reason the SS808 will not recognize more than 2 keyboards. I am wondering, how do I get all 6 to work and be recognized? Is this a limitation of the device?

    Hope this works!

Someone found a way to get touchscreen to work on the MK808. Basically he created whats called a .idc file (input-device-config file). He claims to now have a 23 inch tablet. I am going to try to add this file and see what happens. I just have to figure out how to get the Vendor and Product ID. Im keeping my fingers crossed!

I found this by looking for an update for my MK808. The current Rom has USB limitations. So I wanted to change it out. I then ran into this thread. Hope it works!

A quick note for you after looking at your work...

You may want to consider wiring a resistor/LED in parallel with your fuses. If you have room you can even lay them under the fuses so you don't loose anything.

When you wire an LED inline like that they only light up when a fuse is blown but they do not provide enough power to actually run anything and it won't allow any draw through it. So basically if you wire red LED's behind the fuses if one is blown you will have a red LED behind it letting you know that the fuse is blown.

Bookmarked the link. Good stuff. I want to grab an MK808 or similar. The ROM sounds good. Thanks.

That's a smart idea Rodney.... I have sooooo many fuses, lol.

I got my M4-ATX yesterday, installed, and everything is working flawlessly. Plus the M4 takes up wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less space. It handles USB a lot better. I remember with the OPUS it would leave stuff on. With the M4, it leaves it on for a little while, then turns it off to conserve battery.

Everything worked except one component. I had a 54G access point installed. Well, it wouldn't power up. I took it apart and saw that there where burn marks. Said %&ck it, replaced with a wireless N access point. Only issue it runs off of 9V power. Then I looked at my install and realized I have 2 standard AC plug ports on my inverter. First plug has a strip with 6 adapters plugged in for the KVMP switches. Then the second plug is empty. Well I know what im plugging in there now :-).

Over the weekend I hope to reconnect my front screen, access the PC and start programming that. I need to set up sound, network gps, media, amp control (usb relay), BT, and its Access Point. Then I can tackle the Android stuff. I need to get the back of the house working so I can get the front of the house working.

Would be interested in knowing if the M4-ATX induces noise into your system. I have heard others complain that the M3 and the M4 have been known to induce noise into the system due to its "noisy" operation.

If it does than I have a GLI waiting. Remember I am only using stereo going in. As far as from the PC to the amps, I doubt I will have noise. The Xonar Soundcard took out ever last bit of it, where as in the install with the SoundBlaster, I was plauged by noise.

So you guys ready for a shocker? Well most of you wont be surprised. I am looking to trying a new setup once again.... Recently, two of my touch panels broke. i did the math and its cheaper to replace them with a tablet. A screen costs about $120.00 and I still havent figured out how to get them to work with the Android sticks. I can easily get a tablet for $90.00 and have a whole complete unit with working touch screen.

So I will now be experimenting I am going to take a my Ainol Novo Flame ( I recently dropped it and the HDMI port is all messed up), so I plan on opening it up. What I am looking to do is make a toggle switch or a port to connect it to HDMI and then to the KVMP switches. I assume that since most of these have HDMI ports, that is what the interface is. Then I also want to hack the touchscreens so I can have them switch from one system to another. Basically I am going to buy 1 capacitive usb controller and test it on the SS808. I want to see if I can get 6 screens onto one controller. That way people can switch between those. The tablets will hopefully be as powerful as the MK802 (1.5GHZ, 1GB RAM) and the SS808 which is 1.5GHZ x2, with 1GB RAM. I may have to build or buy some new equipment, but it will once again lower the amount of equipment in the install.
