Removable Nexus 7 install in a 2006 F150
I traded my Mustang in which means a new car PC install. Instead of using android x86 I decided to use a Nexus seven. The truck presented some problems compared to the Mustang one of which was amp placement. Due to the amount of space in the dash from using a tablet I decided to use a pyle PLMRMP3A amplifier. The amplifier is not that powerful but it's close to the stock radio for output which is what I was looking for. Additionally it has a remote volume control which was always a problem with my previous installation. I have everything connected in the car and it's working well the only issue that I have is that I have a temporary mounting solution in place while I wait on the Nexus dock. Once the dock becomes available and I will be able to mount it to give a more Factory appearance. For Internet connectivity I am streaming my 3G signal from my cellphone via Bluetooth and it is working quite well. In fact this whole post was made from my car with using voice to text. I will post pictures tomorrow once I'm able to get some photos during the day.
