Package arrived safe and sound. Have not opened it yet, helping out a friend with some electrical issues at his house. I'll open it up, inspect and install later this evening.

Everything looks great, exact same LCD and controller. Going to enlarge the touchscreen channel a bit before installing. Should be able to wrap it up tomorrow and get it shipped out to you greg. I know your probably anxious to get it. I've gotta say that Derrick seems like a reliable source of fair priced, fast shipped (from overseas) touchscreens.

This build would have also worked out well with derriks DD kit. It fits perfect into the Ford dash.

I'm happy to hear Derrick's D-DIN fits the Ranger.
I kind of want to build another car PC so I am thinking of putting my D-DIN unit in my 2007 Ranger, then learn some fabbing skills and try to fit an 8" to 10" screen in the Camaro.

New screen install went excellent. More dremel work to ensure a better fit of the ribbon cabling, and electrical tape to hold down the cables on the monitor during install, and some tape on the cable runners to smooth it out. I am finally 100% satisfied and the touchscreen is flawless. Looks like the controller board got a slight upgrade as well with the addition of a heat sink. Used even less Velcro this time on the screen, its seriously strong stuff, full bars were too much. Lastly I was at the cnc machine yesterday doing some work and decided to cut out another trim ring. I needed to make a small adjustment on the opening as the abs ring was shiwingva little bit of the brown outer ring of the touchscreen. 1mm did the trick. This time I used lexan, which the flat black paint is drying now.

Now that's a Ranger PC! Looks great! Can't wait to hear it in the truck. I'll be using this as my sub... Will fit under the seat with no problem and give me a just the right amount if base![]()
