    You in Cali?

Sorry for the post tangent but I had to say this. Columnmn, love your UTE and the work you have done on it! I just finished reading all 11 pages and look forward to more.
Why don't you start a thread here for the carpc part?
    Like the dog pictures! Sweet!
Deep respect for all the work you have done!

Sorry, I'm trying not to take over this thread. I'd love a mustang, they aren't as common in Australia. So far more expensive, so I'm very jealous.

I do have a thread on here:

    http://www.mp3car.com/show-off-your-...xperience.html

It's got more of my tablet ideas with it, the idea is to delete all the buttons/keys and automate as much as possible, I'm trying to make it more hi-tech then a brand new car, but still looking awesome and old.

Just caught that post, once the OP is back, the thread should sort it's self back to mustangs

But you both are Fords and carpc so hopefully not too much of a tangent

ok - so lots of research on the tablet to optical out function on this build- i have ordered two items:
    • miniDSP USBStreamer
    • Jarekc - TAS1020B-based Asynchronous USB to I2S/SPDIF converter 24bit/96kHz

    ref links:
    miniDSP USBStreamer
    JarekC USB>I2s/SPDIF

i will test these units on a Acer A500 Android tablet, a kindle fire as well as a HTC rezound Android phone to see how they interact with different flavours of the Android OS....

I have not ordered the Dayton Audio gear as of yet... just waiting to finish a few items on the 69 first ... still trying to decide on sub orientation and amp placement... basically trying to decide to keep a back seat or not...
i know i want the subs firing forward into the cabin either modify the rear deck for the 10" subs or modify the rear seat area and use the trunk for a traditional display of the amps and other gear etc..
also need to research a shop that will fabricate some kick panel enclosures for the Dayton Audio RS-180's, possibly using the air vent area used on the 69 to allow fresh air into the cabin.. if i find a good shop i may keep the back seat, order a leather kit to match the front seats and have them create a fiberglass enclosure in the area on each side of the rear seat to house each RSS265HO 10" sub... so in stating that if anybody knows of a reputable shop in the north florida (Jacksonville) area.... let me know..
