    Just having a white car is freaking bright. Honestly the vinyl will definitely be a nice contrast and break it up a bit.

    LED Turn Signal Replacements

    I got my LED's in...well.. they work so that's good. But it looks like I will need to do a lil dremel work for the bulb to fit through. I need to sand just a teeeeny bit. Its not a major mod, only a minor fitment adjusting.

    You are absolutely right the LED industry has improved significantly since we first started working on our cars years ago.
    Just to add , there are also some flashers now made for some vehicles that are tolerant of LED bulbs . These can replace the factory flasher as well to eliminate the hyper flash.

    Quick question, does you turn signal LEDs do double duty as parking lamps at night as well or are they dedicated to turn signal use only?

    I will post my vid and pics later but what I got for now are not switch back. These are specifically turn signals/parking lamps. I have other LED lighting plans in the near future. I will have under the car amber leds responding to signals like I had on my old car.

    Don't intend to hijack your thread but I'd just to add that the CMOS sensors of today have also improved as well.
    If you look around you will see some cameras with CMOS sensors that are capable of shooting HD videos.
    On the other hand, lots of people still advertise them interchangeable and giving people the lower quality sensors in cameras instead so I can understand why you want to stay away.
    I have personally compared a quality HD CMOS camera to a CCD version and must say that it beat the CCD hands down in all lighting conditions.
    The other problem is that for your specific application you have little or no chance of finding a quality HD Cmos camera for your application.

    Reason I bring this up is because I am wondering if you are willing to drill a hole in the skin of your vehicle to add those cameras as you did on your last install.

    I personally went with a smaller camera for my install for a more stealthy look but also included an HD camera for the front facing camera because the space was available.



    The front facing camera is tucked away between the windshield and my rear view mirror and hard to get a picture of as the light reflects off the windscreen at all time.

    Side view cameras are mirror images without the guidelines and the rear view version includes the guidelines.
    Another plus is the fact that I can purchase individual lenses to change the view angle as well as zoom in or out depending on what lens you use.
    The downside is that they are not night vision as I see yours is nor are they CCD.

    Why can't we eat our cake and have it?
    Why must there always be some kind of trade off to get the features we want?

    I actually plan to rework it a bit on this car. I plan to get smaller cams than what I had on my last car. I don't mind them showing because it was a cool aw factor and made for great conversations..but these I would like to have smaller and white in color. While I prefer CCD, many things have advanced since I had mine and I am open to CMOS if the quality is there. I prefer not to mount on the mirrors but I am open to that as well depending on the cams that I get.

    I hear ya. That is definitely a requirement for me. If they are not night vision then they are a no go for me. Where did you get yours by the way?

    Pics of LED Turn Signal Replacements

    These are a few pics of the LED replacements for my stock turn signals.

    The new replacement LEDs. Notice how bulkier these look. They are a bit heavier also than the average LED bulbs because they have the resistors built in which is nice and convenient.

    Needless to say I did have to do a little modding to get these to fit. I made it work but it did not require too much work. The hole on the left is what I did with the dremel. The hole on the right is factory.
