Nope. Not at that stage yet. I'll be sticking it out waiting for the Opus 220w. But even before that I will need to order the actual Xenarc screen. Right now I only have a casing for it. I wish I had some pics of an open Xenarc case with the board already in it... would be good for figuring out how much space I have left.Originally Posted by Cris
I'll probably end up giving this project to my uncle who will finish off the dash and stuff![]()
the xenarc screen should be easy to work with...don't worry about chopping away at the console trim...
after new years, i'll be redoing mine..making it smoother...too lazy to sand properly the last time i did it...
good luck on it! glad to see another SC with a carputer

The screen is as wide as the opening... right? Then how's it held in place. Me and my friend choppsed away like 2 of those top screws that hold the back togetherOriginally Posted by ACleanSC4
I'm not chopping the console trim... one way to make it look stock
Yeh, when I'm done, I should be like the 5th SC owner with a carputer setup. But probably the 3rd who took the time to fabricate the screen into the dash and make it look stock![]()

i didn't chop the middle of the top of the trim...I shaved the sides a bit, used some plexiglass that I cut to fit the sides so it holds the xenarc faceplate into place...then just slap some bondo over everything.
you've seen my pictures right? i think it looks pretty stock, gotta redo it and sand the hell out of it and paint it black. Working on making it into carbon fiber to match my interior pieces but it's giving me some problems...

I'm still trying to keep that slight "gap" between the bezel and the monitor and climate control.
Good luck doing everything in CF![]()
According to this my car should have an AMP, so one less part to replace![]()
