just curious where ur moving ur ac/heater controls to?

i got a 99 silverado that i want to put a carpc in....but i got a 5spd...which means i can't put it below cuz the shifter is in the way.

Stank, we're you going to put the ac/heater controls? I'm looking at adding to the stock center console and placing them there. I'm glad you got the 8", now I know it will fit in my space once I remove everything. Keep it up, I've been watching your whole truck build on the other sites. I guess it's not just the 4X4 crowd that gets testy hehe.

havent taken apart the dash on my truck yet...but could u relocate the heater/ac controls to where the 3 12v Cig plugs are?? and just get rid of those or move them somewhere else?

i got a 5spd so really i can't put anything below there if i plan on using it.

In the OBS suv's the rear controls are mounted above the rear view mirror. What do you have right there, anything?

I have the auto with bench seat and no center console so Im making my own small console to hold the a/c controls and dvd drive. They will go below the outlets where that empty panel is. You know the one that looks like a waste of space? Yeah that one. Im going to fiberglass onto that panel so it will be removable if i need to change the dvd player or something. Since you have the stick, I don't know where I'd put them. I'm sure youll find somewhere though. Send some pics of what you have and maybe I'll have some ideas.

Truck is in for paint so the computer will be at a stand still for the next month or so. But the subs will arrive this week and will be installed as soon as I get the truck back.
