I think I would move the vents forward over the screen more, make more of shroud. I think you're going to have a glare problem otherwise.

    .

Yea I was talking about the "dremel hand attachment" I actually had that 10.8 Volt dremel, but the damn thing died on me !!! After using it for about 30 minutes (new and out of the box) the speed dial only worked on high and after about a month it caught fire inside the battery area and died all togeather... I exchanged it for the XPR400 Electrical version and I've never looked back its really a nice tool.

About the project I'm worried about those heat vents and the wood. How tight of a fit is it ? Keep in mind if your going to bondo that it's going to become a smaller area the originally planned. There really is a lot of cornors and edges thats going to drive you nuts when your sanding... You really have a HUGE project but your definatly on to something...

On a side note where are you located in NY ??? I'm from NH, I'm 15 minutes away from VT.

    Your screen look real good!

i just noticed all that space is because you took out your head unit too.

it should look pretty sweet when it's finished.

i love how when you look at other peoples installs is so obvious how to do stuff to finish it up...if it were you........but in in your own situation....you cant figure out what to do next...if that make sense to anyone else.

I like the dremel so far, hopefully it does not suffer the fate that yours did! The only thing that could improve is the batter life, its not bad, probibly about 30 minutes of use, but it sucks to have to stop to charge it. But i love the portibility. So its a trade off, I will probibly get the XPR when I have some extra money.

The vents are not tight at the monent there is some play, enough that I could leave them totally inside the frame like they are in the pic or move them right to the edge of the frame, I plan on glueing them down when I figgure it all out.

Thanks, i dont know what is going on with the screen, I got it back today finally after more confussion. It seems that it is the right one I checked a couple of pins on the cable and they checked out, but it is still not working I did not get much time to play with it though just fired it up, so I am going to dig deeper over the weekend. Will update that other thread when i got something, or nothing
