10.4 screen install, pics, need opinions

That's looking great! I don't mind if there are a few pieces that match the exterior on the interior of the car. I actually painted the door pieces on my 95 Mustang to match the silver of my car's exterior. I only did one because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. After living with it for a month, I decided I liked it and started the other one. I think the reason I don't like some of the cars that have matching interior pieces is that the owner has a tendency to over do it...I think one or two pieces can make a nice statment. Bezels in modern cars, I think, look nice with a contrasting color.

But, back to the subject at hand - your install is going to look great! It's funny how you have a vision in your head on how you want it to look and when you try to explain it to people, they just shake their heads. Once you get to the stage you're in, it's all too clear! Good job.

Very sllick install. After reading all the posts, I realized some fo my mistakes before I made them (i.e. using 1/4" ply instead of MDF just save $$). Thanks for doing such a great job on keeping us posted. As for the color, the trim in a car should contrast the base color of the interior (if your interior is dark gray cloth like mine, trim should be silver or the like). The edging (area around the trim) should be a complimenting color (if interior is dark gray, trim is silver, edging should be black). I did this on my car and I like the look. There is just enough black inside to match the black exterior and also the silver brings out all the parts that you fabricated. Hope some of this helps.

I ahve actually had this done for almost a month now, been really lazy about getting pics done for a completed projects thread.

one of thease days soon, I hope to find the energy to clean up the car and take the pics.
