    Very nice install.
I have an S60 T5 -01 and I'm very new to this in car PC stuff, but I'm NOT new to cars, computers, electronics and so on so integrating a PC in my car is a natural stepp for me I guess.
My question is, can I replace the HU-803 that I have with a PC and still have the possibility to adjust the volume from my steering wheel in some way, can I use the original radio antenna, how about the integrated phone (auto mute and so on), and what happens with the voice from my RTI (navi)? Many questions and they are probably not so easy to answer. Maybe I should look for some schematics for the HU-803 and go from there.
But if U have some ideas I will be very happy

    Hi,

my s60 has been replaced by a new V70 D5 AWD about 9 months ago, so this thread is a bit outdated.

I replaced a HU613 with a carpc but never attempted to get the steering wheel controls to work, as they are digital, they are part of the network in the car.

You'll need some sort of canbus adapter I guess, for the other funtions too...

    Removal of original radio

    Hi,

Would you please be kind enough precise and detailed instruction on how to remove the console without breaking anything ? I intend to install an aftermarket radio and it looks like I will be able to gather the necessary hardware.
But I am stumped when it comes to removing the console of my S60-2006.

Your help will be greatly appreciated

Yes, it does. In between, I got lucky and found how to get started. I removed the drink container holder just forward of the armrest and discovered that by pushing forward the flat face surrounding the shifter (that I had put in 1 first) while lifting gently , it came off and could be rotated to some extent around the shifter, so that the two hex screws under the climate control became apparent. I stoppe at that point since I had not intended to go any further yet.

Is this the right way? Any further comment / suggestions?

    Thanks

I have a 2000 S80, and have been envious of your install since I first started looking on this site...

You don't, by any stretch of the imagination, have the bezel w/monitor case just laying around unused, do you? Or was it sold with the car?

Oh, and as for getting the radio out, try
