Portugual thanks for the response. Ya 9 hours a day for probably a couple months. But everyday I get in about 10 plus hours of all sorts of various reading.

the Nvidia will get me the 800x480 resolution and I would like alittle more power then the m1000 has to offer

Hey John, had a quick read of your post but am in work so can't really give it my full attention. The stamp idea is nice and neat - my approach is more of a brute-force (i am more of a materials/structures/aerodynamics engineer than electronics these days) but you could use the relay idea to trigger your stamp. Thanks for the info on the stamp - i thought they cost something like that. My method costs about £2 + relay & wiring - bit lower than the stamp!

But i guess with the stamp you can do all kinds of ****. But if you want to use if for something else my idea could free it up and save some money.

If you got any questions give me a shout - but i have been watching this thread for a while with interest

Oh, as for the g/f with the keyboard - I got an idea where you could locate the ctrl, alt & delete keys that would stop her complaining about of a lack of attention for a while - hehe

Scouse ya your idea is definetly cheaper, the thing abut the stamp is I already have one.

the ctrl alt delete comment was completlly out of line sir.

well right now i have to put the seat back in cause i gotta take the ye ole bucket into the shop.

my subwoofer is going in the back seat in the middle of my 60/40 seats.
but anyways.....

Use the stamp to build something for the missus - like a nail varnishing maching that comes out of the dash

may as well put the speaker there - who ever has anyone in the middle of tha back? not me. very rare i have someone in the back - except my friends dog.

Thats exactly why I am putting it there. The car is basically a two seater and if you sit in the back thats your problem especially in the middle. i just want everything in the car to have a place and be hidden. I have had big speaker boxes in the past and when ever I want to use my trunk I have to take them
out and they dont make it back in the car for awhile after.

I would do that only i have minging green velour seats

- not my choice - mum chose the car but i can't complain it was free! (except for the list of problems she gave me to fix - but all minor-ish)

oh and the dog would probably pee on it and get electrocuted and i would get told off.

Thanks for taking the time to take so many pics and to detail your process. I'm a TOTAL noob and have been spending much time reading and researching as well. As such, being able to follow your install is VERY helpful. I'm really looking forward to more pics and details when you offer them.

Congrats on the weight loss...hauling around all that fat obviously wreaked havoc on your back!
