2005 Nissan Altima

Clean setup and clean Altima. I was thinking of upgrading my first gen Altima to a newer Altima but I've dumped waayyyy too much money into it allready. Figured I might as well finish this project and wait for some nice used 350Z's to come down in price.

I am getting ready to install right now. I have the parts and the plan, but I still need to get the new amp and speakers installed before I put the computer in.
The width of the Xenarc fits perfectly. The height is about 1/4in. too tall. But on our stock radio bezels there is a strip along the bottom (the thin peice between the AC controls trim and the bottom of the radio) that can be cut off and then it should fit fine. Haven't done it yet, but in playing with it and test fitting it, I think it will work out fine.

My headrest monitors are in!!
I sent them off to Altimat for the install. They turned out great. Can't wait to have them in the car and running.

Just noticed you have an 05 Alti too. I will be putting the screen in soon. I figured out a way to mount it using the stock radio brackets. Should be a nice clean install, and I won't have to take the screen apart.
What are your plans for your car?

i'd be intrested in seen it when your done.

i'm still in the planning stage, i got a buddy that owns a glass shop and has a metal brake, he's gonna make a case for my atx board and i'm thinking about mounting it up under the rear deck, inbetween the speakers.

as for the screen goes i have it mounted under the hvac controls, thinking some day i would like to make some type slide for it, so it would slide up under the dash for a stealth install.

just wanta get it in there so i can play

Although that would make a nice stealth place to put it, I think it may be too low to be able to see well. Keep in mind that you will be controlling your music while driving and will need to change songs/albums with quick glances to the screen.
If you can find a way to do it, maybe tucking a screen into the upper storage compartment might work well.

Thanks for input, couple of my thoughts are down low to reduce glare and right at my finger tips, if i get it set up i'll take a pic and post it.

what are you using for a video card for all your monitors? sorry if you all ready posted it
