Thanks Jeremiah. I went with 6.5" Kappa Components up front and 6.5" References in the back. My reasoning was that the back speakers are more for filler so I saved a little money on it. I really happy with how the sound turned out and can't wait to add the sub to my system.

The antennas are on the back deck by the 3rd brake light, one on each side. Reception is good. I have my windows tinted which makes reception a little harder, but I usually lock on 5-6 GPS satellites, and XM signal is always strong.

Pics will be up soon, I just haven't had time.

I like how you did the monitor considering you didn't mold it. You avoided the mess.

Hey, I just bought an Altima about 10 months ago, and just installed a new stereo in it. However, when they did it, they said that I would have to pay and extra 100.00$ for a part to let the steering wheel controls work. I chose to wait on that one. When I got the car back, not only did the controls not work, the dashboard lights don't come on anymore.
I am taking it back in, but I wanted to ask you if you ran into this problem when installing your equipment and if so, is there a better way to get around this than having to buy the $100.00 part that will let the controls work on the steering wheel? And I don't know whats wrong with the dash lights.

    Thanks

    Craig

There are several ways to work the regular steering wheel controls on a new Stereo for your car. However Edrex installed a computer in his car for which you can find several different options if u use the search box.

Craig, the dash lights must have something to do with the work they did. I didn't have any problems during my install with that.
As far as connecting your steering wheel controls, the shop is probably correct. If you were using a carPC then you would have more options, but for regular stereo's I don't think there are too many choices. This is probably what they were talking about. If the $100 included install then it is probably worth it. If not, then you might buy one online and find a shop to install.
