my setup has no headunit, will be using the mach460 amps once i get the harness and one extra amp for the highs ('04s dont have an amp for the highs). last season i had 2 amps running my setup, but did'nt sound that great. the mach amps are pretty good, well, i like em.

well, im back to a stock headunit(as of today ). i dont have all the fundage to get my ideal system up and running.. but i haev made freinds who said they would hook me up

i dont remember how much of that site actually works, but i know i spent a LONGGG TIME making it look like that, so i have no real content other than that

when i do my system i wont be running ANYTHGIN factory. i might as well just pull all the factory autio wires outta the car im going straight from the battery to the aftermarket amp's then to the speakers/subs

I ran the power cable through the "hood release" cable grommet. As I said it was a pain in the a$$ and took forever but it turned out real good.

I do plan on doing some suspension work in the future so thanks for pointing that out. The cable has a little slack there so I can move it around if it needs it. I guess I'll find out when suspension work starts.

I am removing the head unit, in fact as of last night the head unit does not have any speakers connected to it. I put in new speakers and rewired everything, going straight to the amp. From the testing I've done the Audigy seems to work great, and a couple of people in the forum have it and really like it.

I'm almost done with the install so feel free to ask questions. pyros is pretty much done with his too, he was of great help to me.

I'll check that site out. Its always fun to see what other people in the area are doing with their cars......

Are you planning on coming to the DC area meet on Saturday? It's my first meet but it should be cool to meet other people around here with carputers, hell...it might give you some ideas!

thinking about power... you could easily run from the battery into the fender then to where we(pyro and i) ran the power cable(right next to where the clutch pedal is, on the wall). might eb able to hide it better that way, more hidden and would aleviate any future problems with suspension . damn.. i might do that when i do it all

if you need any recomendations, hit me up. icv been through alot to get my car to where it is. and luckily, i somewhat understand suspension and know alot of the products out for our body style

you are doing the carputer the exact way that i am how do you plan on pulling radio signal. or have you tested it? i have a D-Link DSB-100, i tested it with a laptop from work and it didnt get such good reception, but that was only a 10 minute test in Gaithersburg

i might goto the meet.. my car has been having some tranny issues, so i just got it back the other day. where is it? i remember reading about it i have to many ideas as is, i dont think i can fit anymore

for the FM, I also got the d-link but have not installed it....the good thing about it is that the stock mast will fit into the antenna port on the d-link. I tested it off the car and it was workable, hopefully the mast on the car will help reception a little, i like having FM....can't miss my Elliot in the Morning!!!!

when i tested mine i was not impressed, that is another one of those problems i am trying to fix/figure out.
