    stay tuned.

I got one of those dynamix monitors, and have mounted it with a gear-reduced motor in my center console of my 02 spec-v. Pictures are to follow, now i just have to figure out how to fit my old laptop under my passenger seat (for weight distribution of course).

Wow, nice hinge job there, and nice spec! Black ftw hehe... I missed my window of opportunity to work on my carpc this year, not much changed, which is good and bad - means my computer still works with zero maintenance for a year, but there's a lotta tweakin I wanna do still. My cuz is gonna start his titan install soon so I'll probably get back into the swing of things again...just gotta find somebody with an air-conditioned garage lol.

Nice job on the monitor. I thought about going that route myself but instead I molded my liliput where the stereo is and I moved the stereo down. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

gizak, i have followed your thread for a while as i'm using almost all the same parts in my install. i'm driving the same car (in silver FTW ), using the same MB, a mobile athlon 2400, a 250 gig HDD, plexi case and an 8" vga touchscreen in the center console. i also experienced the same problems installing XP with this MB and cpu combo and thanks to your posts and the others who travelled the path before me, i was able to get an nlited XP to work correctly (i've never had a board that was so picky about the settings). it seems that you've inspired quite a few other sentra owners with your install judging by some of the posts in this thread.

correct me if i'm wrong but you're running centrafuse for your front end? i've been wrestling with RR and the iDrive skin (with little success to get it config'ed correctly) and i'm considering using a different FE. would you recommend CF or is there a different FE that you might suggest. don't get me wrong, RR is great and with the iDrive and LSX skins it's beautiful but for some reason i'm having serious problems with the mp3 playback and system stability. any advice that you can offer on the subject of front ends would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys. I'm a 02 Sentra GXE owner myself. Started my project over a year ago. At functional (80%) complete last may. Im now looking for new ideas and decided to revisit this thread. My setup is not as cool as you guys, but it looks good to me so far.

i hate to point out the obvious, but gizack hasn't posted here in quite some time.

if you have never built a computer before, a carputer may not be the best place to start. building the computer is pretty straight forward, for use in the car you will want to design a low power system. i would suggest that you consider buying a preassembled system over trying to roll your own, the mp3car store has some nice solutions if you decide to go that route. take some time and list all the things that you would like to use your carputer for, this will make picking the parts out easier. also read up in the faqs and the wikipedia, everything you need to know has most likely been addressed.

these comments are not intended to discourage, but the learning curve can be pretty steepwith lots of reading required on your part.

    bueno dia y buena suerte
