Well, I figured out where I wanted to put the radio and did some work. I have it spray painted and re-did the screen bezel. Here are some pictures. I'll have it in the car this week and I'll post some more pictures....
Trim that goes around the face of the radio...it was grey so I sanded it and painted it black...
Some pictures of the screen bezel and the new radio location...it looks really black cause it's all covered in tape...

I finished up the carputer about 3 weeks ago. Here are the final pics... If anyone does this mod in the future, don't hesitate to ask me questions..I'll try to help..

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any suggestions.
That looks really nice!Good job!
Is it hard to load any CDs because of the gear shift?
I don't really load any cd's since I have about 9,000 songs on my carputer but it's not that hard. The only problem I have right now is the DVD drive in the back does not read some of my copied DVD movies. But I just need to get a new drive for that to be fixed.
Great to see somebody else put a carputer in their Legend. I have a 94 Legend Coupe I put a carputer in a while back. It's still a work in progress, but it's definately functional. I went the headunit-less route, and threw in an amp in the trunk with audio from teh computer. Used a 7" Lilliput in the dash. It's fiberglassed in there, but I still need to sand the bezel and paint it. I'll see if I can get some pics up.
Yeah, please...I would like to see that. I only know of one other person with a carputer in the Legend. Check out the acura-legend.com forum when you get a chance. Please post pics when you get a chance too. Do you use the GPS?? I wanna get the reciever but I don't know what to go with out here in the US..
Carlos, do you have a one touch solution to start recording if pulled over? I saw a pic of your mic months ago and decided to make a macro to stop my music and start my recorder in case of being pulled over. How are you doing it?
A pic is worth a thousand words.
Vee, I've been having soo much fun with my carputer that I haven't even checked out the mic. I haven't given it too much thought. When I installed the mic I did it in case I wanted to use it in the future for voice recognition software like Dragon Naturally Speaking. How does your macro work??? What you have going sounds like a good idea.Originally Posted by Vee24
