So, after about 2 months of work I am about 90% done with the carputer. Here's a few pictures of the install. If you have questions let me know.
Here is a pictures of the console. I'm sure you will notice a big whole under the touchscreen...that's were the radio is going. That's the 10% I have left to do. I need advice on how to put the radio in this spot. That back of the radio is hitting the metal bracket behind it...Any ideas?? Or if you can give me ideas of what else I can put in there and maybe I'll put the radio somewhere else....

My car was broken into a few years back where I used to live and they tore the leather in the backseat behind the armrest so I used that to put some usb 2 and firewire connections..I also put the dvd drive back there. It didn't come out as clean as I wanted it to but it looks ok..
Microphone..just incase I get pulled over...need some evidence...
Here is the computer case. I made it myself. It would have been a lot smaller but I put a TV tuner card in it so I had to make the box bigger. The gray power inverter box to the right of the computer case is just for testing..that won't be there when I'm done.

Mini Keyboard and mouse. The screen is touchscreen but the mouse makes it easier for me sometimes. I also have a wireless G antenna in the back (forgot to take a pic) and soon I'm gonna get the GPS antenna for the car. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any comments.

I used the Xenarc 7 inch screen. I would have liked to get the 1 din unit but that wasn't available when I got my screen. That screen is hot and only a little more than what I paid for mine. What kind of car are you going to do this to?

The same exact car. A 1992 Accura legend. Even though we have that motorized unit I still think I might bondo in the 7" xenarc. It will look very nice.

Yeah. I was hunting around and saw your post on there as well. There is a lot of information there about our cars.
Yeah, I've been on that forum for years now. You can get a lot of info on your car. Do you know of any OBD 1 software that I could use on the legend?
I haven't worked on that yet but one of my coworkers is an OBD expert. When I get to that stage of the project I will post my info.
