What kinda heat dissipation are you gonna put on those amps? I notice you pulled the heatsinks off the JBL.. Those Sony's are prone to overheating as it is...
I was working on my, over the week...it's not done...At the pawn shop I picked up (1) 4ch JBL & (1) 2ch Sony..both for 120.00![]()
This week I plan on finishing the trunk: running 4g wire(power), 8g(ground), fuse and grounding block. Not pictured are the sub box enclosure. Let me know what you think...

pretty nice so far, is that a pioneer dsp unit in the trunk? if so, how do you like it?

You are gonna have to install some kind of cooling onto those MOSFETs or you are going to toast both those amps. I see you want to display the circuit boards of the amps, which is cool, but you absolutely have to use some cooling... whether it's a heatsink, or some kind of water cooling setup. I did see an install in a magazine where the owner ran a water-cooled setup using 1" square aluminum tubing with the MOSFETs connected to it. The water coolant ran through the aluminum tubing, then into clear plastic tubing, through the cooling system's radiator/fan them pump, then resevior, then back through again.
Without heatsinks or the suggestion made by Snootch, you'll probably set fire to your car never mind toast the amps...
Don't mean to rain on your parade mate, but I just want you to be safe!!

After reading post about my amp (heat sink), I guess I'll put 'em back in there case. I do have fans blowing air in and I thought that would go...
Now, I have to reconsider my trunk lay out...Thanks for the input.
looks good so far!!! how about some more pictures of that case?
