Can't wait to see it come together!
-= Update 04-03-2006 =-
Long time since i've posted here.
Today i've ripped the car apart again.
Some time ago i installed a switch in my dash to allow me to keep the carputer running indefinately. Just a simple switch to choose the input for the opus activation line. I had these options
- 12V constant
- nothing
- 12V switched.
The nice thing about this is that i can keep the carputer running when i leave the car for a short while, and that i can keep the carputer from starting up when i move the car in and out of the garage. Works like a charm, but i soon detected it had one flaw. Indefinately isn't really indefinately. It's just until you run out or juice in the battery (DUH ! ! ) Anyway, this happend to me not so long ago ... i forgot to set it back to switched and the computer drained the battery overnight, leaving me stranded when i needed to go to work. Not good.
-= Update sep/2005 =-
Two lil updates ... Recently got some BSOD from windows. So i tought it might be a good idea to have a reset button in my car. I hooked it up, but i ran out of time so i needed to temporarly install it under the rear seat
Next thing, i really needed to get GPS working since i have a habit of getting lost (not that i mind since i like the driving)
I mounted the receiver under the parcel shelf
Also discovered some annoyencies ... whenever i move my right outside mirror i hear it in my speakers and the screen causes some big time interference with radio reception. Guess i'll have to do some and to find a way around this.
-= First Post =-
