I just bought AS 5, but didn't have time to put it in yet. Currently I used AS 2 I think (got it from my bro).
I hope AS 5 can help lower the temp by 5 or 7 degree different between case and cpu.

I have the sub in the trunk, and on top of that. I'll probably use tons of velcrow to stick it to the top of the sub, and that way it won;t slide side to side.

P4 board. I'm not going to need it for use, but i need dough badly, so i'd probably sell it, if you still want to opart with it. Yet again i appreciate your contribution, meaning i'll mention your name on my window sticker on the meet You gotta give credit where it belongs.

I'm only waiting on the processor right now, and the pc is together. It's going to be an AMD xp-m 1800+ (1.53 Ghz) setup, probably i'll overclock it to the limit of the Opus 150... And cooling.

    Cheers

you can have it either way....I'll probably never do anything with it........if you can turn it to cash that's great..

that xp-m is going to be real nice, how much ram are you going to run it with?

mounting the pc case on the sub box is a bad idea....tiny delicate solder joints won't like the vibration & the hard drive won't like it either.... I'd say avoid having direct contact with the sub box....in the trunk would be o.k. but not on the sub box...it won't fit where you had the other one?

no, it won't fit... yes, i'll take the mobo... also, i'm thinking of selling the two 8" kickers in the enclosure, and fix up a costum sub enclosure to the side of the trunk... Maybe for a nice JL sub... Still thinking about it though...

For now it's gonna be a 512, but i'll upgrade to 1GB later on (cash)

wow... i just realised there wasn;t too much activity in this thread recently... so let me update you guys on a few things...

Since i painted the case, ther has been things going on. I have two biostar Mobos now, one of which is working perfectly with both processors 1800+ and the 2400+. I'm still thinking on which to use, b/c the 1800+ consumes like 25W 1.25 Cpu core Voltage, so i may go that route. I have to send the opus back for a biostar fix, b/c it's not turning the mobo on...

    My current PC specs are:

    Biostar mobo (M7NCG 400)
Athlon XP-M 1800+ or 2400+ (have yet to decide)
    768 MB if DDR333 ram (512+256)
    200 GB WD HDD 3.5"
    DVD drive, Floppy drive.

I also layed my hands on a Motorized In-Dash monitor off of ebay, and am goiing to use that as the main monitor.

Other things... I'm going to relocate the headunt into eighther the glovebox, or trunk (depending on space) and ordered the connectors between the faceplate and the headunit, so i won't have to hack it up, and soldere to the pcb. It's going to be a plug and play thing... Original connectors By Alpine
I'm going to use CAT-5 cable 2 of them to get this costum cable going.

I have to rewire most of the setup, for power, and have to fix my Sub box setup.

I just ordered an external magnetic mount Cell antenna, and a nokia holder for my phone, so i will have internet even in the mountains. I'm really hoping i can pull all this off before the meet.

I'll have some pics up as soon as i can. so there we go. Now i'm struggeling to get the PC up, b/c i think my HDD might be dyeing soon. Tonight if i get home from work, i'll hack the dash/glovebox and all that apart to see where i could place the headunit. I have the place for the faceplate already. Inbetween the headliner, and the rearview mirror. I have a small flip-down sunwisor there, it's about .75"X10" wide, and i'm going to velcro the faceplate there... It's going to look awesome.

So there's the update. I'm planning on having all this done befor the meet, and to have a cleaned-up system, so maybe i could win the most clean system award at the meet...

    cheers
