Ok, i have some updates on the project:

Tomorrow i'll be at the dealership doing the wiring/cables stuff.

Almost done!

The center stack is not completely done. The painter fckd up the painting, so i'll have to redo it again....

Current state of the car:

(fm modulator, it has inputs for the ipod and the carpc at the same time

)

(it doesnt fit well at this time, i need to do some extra mods)

It's the original radio/AC screen mounted above the interior lights as stated below

Did you have to specially order those cables and connector at your dealer.
We have a kit to make our own and have bags of connectors with it

I got the cables at an audio shop

(toslink)

Then i had to order the conectors and stuff from the dealer. They didn«t have any so it took 3 days. (Came from Spain)

Wow, looks great. I have a 2006 US S40. In your experience removing the HU, do you think it would be possible to replace it with an Avic Z1? Is there enough room back there?

Probably there is enough space. In any case the stock screen must me always connected or the car wont start/work. The stock cdplayer you can ditch it, but everytime you go to the dealer the car will present tons of error codes

That's not completey true if they update the MOST-bus sytem it will not recognize the cd changer and it will not be mentioned anymore, only if mechanics are smart enaugh to do that...........
