So I began fabricating a flip up screen cover. fortunatley my van has one, I just needed to cut it up a bit
grabbed the jigsaw and went edward scissorhands on it
I will be sanding the dash down and painting it after i get the motorized portion of this working but for now here are a few pics of the lcd mount
also the bottom is currently cut out from where i had the screen mounted before but the glare was too much down at the bottom so i decided to move it up to the top im am going to mount a shuttle xpress on the left side and have switches on the right panel all mounted ontop of some brushed aluminum

the pics are decieving the screen retracts into the dash not down like it is in the 1st pic. the 1st pic was just showing where i had it before
that whole area where the screen used to be im going to close back up by putting some brushed aluminum over it and mounting the shuttle xpress there

alright YES so i was "securing" the metal bracket and the screw went sideways and ripped the plastic apart now i have to find a new way to mount the bracket because the plastic is ruined on the one side. i might try epoxy but i dont know if itll work properly

Well unfortunatly looks like i may have to use it in another project or just forget about it seems that dispite all the room i have in the dash its just not enough to accomodate the angle i need to get it to work right im scrapping the flip up idea for now and going with the bondo approach. i ay attempt this again once im fully installed
Update right now im fighting with my biostar and amd 2400 there not playing together i rmas both back and hope this willsolve the problem by then i should have a better idea whats what. i think its probably just an adjustment of the fsb and multiplier but my vga signal on the board cut out b4 i could go and try to change it. this time i will go straight to expert mode and change it.
anyone know what the multiplier etc would be running anAMD 2400+ 35w mobile athlon?
