Do you have two slim DVD drives? It looks like the one on top of the dash and another beneath the screen area?
great work man, this is becoming a masterpiece. I also love that HU in sunvisor.
I also noticed a famous DLS amp in the rear.

Wow that is really CLEAN! Nice job, proably one of the better job's I've seen posted here. I really like what you did with your HU. Your computer placement and design is outstanding. Did you use a laser to cut out your Logo in the polycarbon (lexan or plexi)? Major props to this carputer, this is just outstanding. I envy your car.
Edit: even your computer install doesnt show ANY wires! What a clean install.

Well to the usual viewer, they wont see the wires beind the comp, You did a great job on hiding the wires making it look very clean. I've never been good at hiding wires, you did an exceptional job. Hiding wires and orgnizing them can be extremly tedious and time consuming, most the times I'll see people having wires running in plain sight. The HU in headrest is just another great job of wiring and hiding wires.
I cant wait to see the finished project.![]()

today i had made real world test. first time get out from garage. i doubt, that screen will look bad at direct sunlight or in any other extreme conditions, but no, luckilyso screen was great, even in direct sunlight (30C at midday), carputer was working some hours and i haven't found any problem with M1-ATX and all other peripherals.
behind m1-ATX i have Aopen i855GMEm-LFS mobo with celerom M 1,3 GHZ processor, 512MB RAM, Linksys WMP54G, hitachi 20GB laptop HDD, very small PS/2 keyboard, 4 port USB hub from Targus (no external power) and 6 mobos USB ports are covered with: GPS mouse, , panasonic DVD/CDRW combo drive (indash, below the monitor), touchscreen mouse, touchpad mouse, 6 in 1 card reader and last port is for USB HUB with Logitech USB mic and two ports are free inside the car. last but not least i have two fans running, one Dr. Zallmann is cooling my little celeron and second 120x120mm aluminium fan, whos job is DLS cooling. both have temp control enabled and both are controlled from BIOS.
final pics added to gallery, now comes the software part.... roadrunner and etc....
enough for now, i want to play with my new toy![]()
