Stage 1...What has been done...
Well after a few days, I have finally managed to re-build the shattered lower half of the custom nosecone. There were 9 broken parts that had to be stuck together with an epoxy type glue, and the outside smoothed over with automitive putty.
Stage 1...Still to do.
First off is to re-register the car which is to be done on Monday.
Sometime next week the whole nosecone section will have to be removed to aid in the application of fiberglass to fully restore the strength it had before the accident.
Some measurements will be taken for the computer controlled air flap located inside the nosecone, and then the fun begins with trying to locate parts for the gearing, motors etc to control it.
This then leads to the time where some extro wiring has to be done to accomodate the flap, and the power windows/alarm mods.
When this is done, stage 2 can begin.
I will get the digi cam out over the weekend to get some pics of where the air flap is to be located, as this item itself (if it works as i would like it to) would be quite interesting.
