Interesting. My Epia M10000 doesn't boot if I have my Sandisk 256mb USB flash drive plugged in at boot. No POST, same symptoms.

Hmm. Thats interesting BugByte. Have you tried other SanDisk usb drives? Just wondering if its a generic manufacturing incompatibility, or a more random mismatch of hardware.

hey, i didnt notice til i looked at the pics, you have all jaycar response gear. i got myself one of the 400w monoblocks, and a 4x50w amp. im making my box in the next few days, how will you be running your speaker/amp setup? im guessing the 2 12's into the 400w, but why 2x 2x150's when you only have 2 6.5's? keep the pics coming, and hopefully you can get the soundcard issue worked out.

The 400w is for the splits (front/rear) and each sub gets a 2x150. Ideally it would be nice to go for a bridged 2x150 into each Voice Coil of each sub, for a total of 4 2x150's.. but thats overkill in my mind, and i'll probably end up bridging each 2x150 and running the voice coils in parallel for less stress on the amp.

one of my friends suggested running both subs using the 800wrms monoblock, subs and voice coils in parallel. if the 2x150 situation doesnt work out then thats what i'll probably end up doing.

What kind of box are you going to build? i was hoping to build mine this weekend, but i was going to head for a slightly curved (inwards) box with ample space to mount the 5 or so amps on it as needed.

sounds like a decent plan you got there, but if you are running both 6.5's from the 400w, wont you lose stereo sound? i am making just a basic dual sub box with a center divider because i have a vn wagon, i have 2x pioneer 15" subs i got cheap from work im using, im running them in parallel from the 400 mono, which will end up pumping out around 700watts rms into 2ohms. the subs are rated at 350rms each which is good. goto my site for a squiz at a 3d design i did, and a lookie see at my car and pc setup.

well the 4x100 has 4 channels.. so thats front left and right, and rear left and right. the rear left and right will also be passed-through to the 2x150's to give them what they need. there will be at least 4 chans coming out of the carputer.. well.. if that bloody soundcard would work

yep i had a browse over your site today, quite a nice setup there. I had a VN exec till last year when it was stolen and burnt out.. then was carless for ages.. that sucked

What program did you do the 3d box design in? i wanted to do something similar since it wasnt a basic boxed enclosure..

ahh, ok, lol, you might want to edit your 1st post then, thats why i got mistaken,

    1 1x400wrms Precision Response Amplifier

swap the 1 and 4 around. sorry to hear about your vn, back in 99, my parents had a ex telstra vn wagon, i loved it, but that got nicked and was never recovered. so i decided to get my own.

i use a program called ptc prodesktop, i used to use it at school. if you can get your hands on a copy of it, its worth using, nice and easy.
