I am mounting mine like that.

Make sure you dont have a heavy heatsink and possibly mount the fan to the case not the heatsink (but keep it close) and maybe provide some bracing to the mobo (not the case) as the mobo will move and if theheatsink it braced to the case it willr ip off.

I would not lay a mobo flat as the vertical motions will cause the board to flex in its weakest direction.

One question though.....could you have made that enclosure smaller and can you post the dimensions as I am planning mine.

Also, i see you plan on using an M1-ATX - i wouldnt for a 1.4duron. I would go for an Opus 150W (120W min) or possibly the new M2-ATX

Doubt I can afford a Opus, can't afford the M1 let alone the Opus..

I doubt the box would go any smaller to be honest.. might get away with a bit smaller but depends on the size of the computer used. Could make it really small if I had an epia type small PC.

I'll try and sort the dimensions out at some point for you. Will be early next week probably as I haven't got a tape measure at the min...

Long time no update.. Had a few PM's of praise about my boot install so thought I'd update here... basically.. I ran out of money for this... needed to spend it elsewhere on my motorbike

I have pretty much finished the boot box.. it's got a door and is all carpeted.. it looks great for first attempts... I will try to take some pictures tomorow.

I need to change a few things in the box itself, of how the MoBo is mounted, and then get the Pc running off mains supply to install software etc. Then I can look into buying the PSU and screen!

    Update of pictures coming soon...
