Okay this is ****ing me off. I am ready to put the pc in except I want to make sure I can remote pc in from my desktop. Unfortunetly my linksys usb wireless is chosing to be a sack of crap. I tell it to get its ip automatically and it keeps grabbing some random crap that is on the wrong gateway and has the wrong subnet mask.

As soon as I get my network $hit to run properly and remote pc works, I will install and post pictures.

Has anyone heard of this network issue?

Ok so I am using a linksys wireless usb with a M10000. The reason I was having trouble is for some reason the auto obtaining of ip would pick up a bad ip, gateway and subnet mask. I was finally able to get it to work by deleteing my winsock files in regedit and then reinstalling the tcp/ip protocol. Has anyone ever heard of that before? Is this gonna be a permanent fix or will it end up going back to the trash ip?

Anyways, now that I can remote pc, the computer will go in.

Yea people fly out to another state, buy one, register it with a relativeís address and drive it back into California. When it has enough miles (just under 10,000 miles I believe) it can be registered in California. If you don't feel like doing all that I remember reading about a business in Arizona that specializes in selling low mileage TDI's for the California market.

TD engines are also soooo much easier to tune to get good power without bolting on lots of expensive extras. there is a place in the UK that will do a stage one turbo mod to take each of the 100, 130 and 150hp units up to about 130, 170, 190hp - all for about £250. They will also take the pug 90hp hdi up to 120+ easily. the old 1.9td pug can be upped from 90hp to 120 by simply turning up the fuel pump and tightening the blow off valve to up the boost. All you need is someone to check the fueling and maybe a session on a rolling road.

The bora is a nice car. I prefer it to golfs. 4motion would have been nice with a 130 or 150tdi.

Oh and diesel engines will last longer than petrol engines and you still get better efficiency.

Well I drive a VW Golf TDI (110 hp, 1999 model), got it from my dad since a year now. It's still a pleasure to drive.
I'm from Belgium and over here more than 50 % of all the cars are diesels (diesel price is a bit lower than petrol's, always has been, I think).

I've placed my Lilliput on the place of an airvent (see link below), but since I've seen your install I want to place it also in the center dash... must find a spare bezel and a spare Lilliput bezel...

    Nice job BTW,
    JorisC

I couldn't agree more Scouse. Very good point!
On my Astra 1.7 DTI, with 85hp, I can easily go to 110hp...
