    A few questions:

    - What did you use to cut the bezel lilliput bezel without cracking it?

    - So, you secure the screen to the front using the factory mounts, right? How does this whole piece secure to the dash?
I used a lexan glass cutter and then a x-acto to finish it out...

Yep it does use the factory screen mounts...

Today im gona make the mounts for the dash part of it.

Well i had to remove the tabs since it made the screen and housing back not go on so its just velcroed in place right now... Its a pretty good hold.

Im gona work on mounting it more secure tomorrow...

Pics later tonight, time for dinner...

You can also cut plexi with a dremel tool and a rotozip bot. then sand the edges smooth.

I used to cut it with a jigsaw, which does work but can crack the plastic if you aren't careful. A bandsaw or circular saw works much better for the outside.

For the inside, the dremel/rotozip bit works well.

ok well i got the system installed but now i got some alternator noise..

I think maybe its becuase i got my ground from the front of the car, i think i will try a ground in th back maybe where the amp is grounded...

One thing i noticed on the monsoon HU on the sticker listing the cables that there is a "amp on" one does anyone have any info on that one? would we not have to worry about 5V if we figured out how to use that one?
Or is that the HU turn on?

I tried grounding on your advice (mobo mount hole to ground that supplies PSU), and it introduced an alternator whine without removing the hard drive chatter. So, I pulled it and the whine went away.

I'm 99% convinced my noise is coming from the 12V feed to the 5V regulator. Right now, that 12V line is a molex from the PSU. I'm planning on drawing it from the car and controlling it with a relay.

Did you ground your 5V regulator?
