Great job and good luck! Thread moved to Worklogs forum.
Made some more progress over the last few days. I still don't consider this the install phase, more preparation really. In any case, nearly all the components I will be using for the base install have been delivered to my house (Lilluput, P1900, cords and adapters, etc), so I can't wait to get done with the semester and get home to start working. I picked up a cheap USB trackball from Walmart, for the cases where a touchscreen won't cut it (right-click, for example). I'm starting to get used to it, but I figure once I get everything set up, I shouldn't need it often.
I also hacked the cord coming off the power brick, and soldered in a molex connector. Works great, and now I don't have to buy another brick or sacrifice being able to use it in the house. The bottom pic also shows the vinyl I added to the top of the case.
I think I've got just about all of my major concerns out of the way now. Look for a lot of updates from me around next Monday, that's when I'll really be getting into full swing. In the meantime, let me know what you think!
