2003 Accord EXLV6 Coupe PC Install

Well this weekend it all begins.
This is a project I have been DYING to do with my car.
If you are reading this im sure you are aware of the problems my car presents with the installation of a screen...

The climate, radio, and clock controls are all built into the same unit and all share the same screen. Removing this functionality is not an option for this install due to the fact that I love the readout for the dual climate controls and such.

This weekend is dissasembly time. We will be removing the dash and stock radio and everything that goes with it so we can start measuring for maximum screen sizes and options. Then during the week I will use my position as an it channel marketing executive to acquire (cheaply) the parts for the build then next weekend installation begins.

If anyone has any ideas for where in the world I can fit a 7'' lilliput screen i would GREATLY appreciate it.

Im hoping that this is what i will be sticking to without too much details

    1.) 7'' Lilliput touchscreen VGA
2.) The shuttle PC will be in the trunk
Wireless as way of 802.11G which will also serve as a WAP
Bluetooth for my T-Mobile IPAQ phone
    GPS
Media Server (DVD as well as MP3)
3.) All mounting MUST keep the stock look as much as possible
4.) PDA and wireless mouse docking station in the center console
5.) QUICK start up times... (hibernate? windows boot off CF?)
There are alot of options here just trying to pick the best one for this application
    6.) Centrafuge front end

Thats all for now... I will take pictures during this weekend of dissasembly to help anyone else that plans an install like this in their Honda.

Thanks pip, i saw that last night and was reading through it. all the ones i have seen have looked very aftermarket... im looking for as close to stock looking as i can possibly get. I'm very determined though so keep an eye out on this thread as I WILL get this to look as good as it can possibly look.

found out im getting off early today so im starting to take things apart at ~3pm. should get interesting....

Don't drink too many of those beers or your screen cutout will be crooked

Looks like a decent amount of space. How are you mounting it?

here's what i did with my fiance's accord
    www.kuo.freakstylehosting.com/car.html
if i could do it over again, and i think i might, i would get an aftermarket stereo kit for the lower console and install an aftermarket stereo there. i would then get an aftermarket stereo kit for the upper console (~ $200) and fab the screen in up there, recessed to avoid glare. her car doesn't have dual climate control so i wouldn't be losing any functionality by replacing the stock hu. it would be expensive though.

As far as drinking too much and mounting it crooked.... hey at least it would have character right

    Now to the mounting question....
I have a new stock faceplate on order from Honda. Once it gets here I will be cutting and hacking and bondoing and then some sanding until i get the lilliput faceplate fitted in there as perfect as i can get it.

The only issue i didnt consider and might have to put the project on hold is when my connector will get here to plug rcas into the aux in port on the bottom of the stock head unit.... its also 99$ that i didnt factor into the project but whats a project that doesnt end up being twice what you hoped for anyways...

yeah, i saw this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-z9nlIgk...sp?i=120997864 but its only single DIN. I wonder if there is a double DIN version of it. then this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-z9nlIgk...sp?i=120997862 would work to put a cd player down below.
