But alas, you have spent countless hours on your car, as we can all tell, and it really does look tight and unique, and I understand your wanting to keep it that way.

    [insert digression]...

Anyways... I have the same suspension setup you have with the KYB's and Teins. I had an issue with my rear mounts however, in that I did not have a bushing surrounding the strut rod comming into the vehicle through the mount hole. So i was getting a loud clack everytime i hit bump when the rod would rattle in the mount hole. Did you have any problems like this? I finally found some Tein rear mount replacements for the 240. They should be in here in a few days and they have pillow ball joints (where i am lacking a bushing), so this should alleviate my problem.

Again props on your ride. I will PM you with further "how'd-you-do-it" questions instead of posting them.

    Thanks a bunch,
    -Matt

mmm sorry I didn't see this post earlier, I just noticed it now. I never had an issue.. I jsut used stock top mounts. My only problem I had with that setup was after a while, the top nut came loose because the suspesion would bottom out at 70+ mph bumps. To fix this, I took the stock bumpstocks, and cut them to about half the lenght and put them in. I also used locktite on the top nut. Problem is gone.

    tein mounts and much more.

Well, it had been awhile since i posted an update... here it goes.

I finally did get the tein mounts in and they ROCK. I will post some pics of the two side by side (stock mount hacked vs tein mount) - rediculous!

I would be really interested in the A/C control setup as well. I have been plotting my carpc setup for sometime now and this type of mod would kick @$$.

I just ordered my v1 valentine, so I should have that going soon. As you all prbly know, you can connect the v1 to the pc and get a virtual display whilst hiding your v1 unit where it cannot be seen yet is still effective.

I also have the usb cable from blaZt.com and the software for both PC (nissan datascan - came with the cable) and Mac (ConSultan) ECU readout - also essential!

Alas, I have no carpc installed as of yet to take advantage of these wonderous things. I have been eye balling the $700 (WTF!) sunlight readable screen on this forum. I could always use the iBook mounted somewhere until I wanted to drop another couple hundies on a new mac mini or pc.

I just dropped about 4k into the car to get it up to its current condition (pics comming soon). New wheels, dent removal, window amplifiers, 300z brakes on front and rear, adjustable KYB's, etc.

One thing you guys might like to see when I have the pics up...
I ordered and installed the german glass headlights from courtesynissan.com and they are sweet looking. No conversion necessary (disclaimer: the high beams have to be rewired using an h3 plug end).

All in all I am happy with the way this vehicle performs. Next I need to replace the seats and mats and dynomat the whole thing. After that, I will put the carpc in (crosses fingers).

Guess I should update a little myself. lol

I wired up my new audio, my entire interior is stripped and partially sound insulated. I'm working on some rear fill and relocating the battery to the rear in prep for the inverter and PC. Paint is not too far behind hopefully. I also got some new SE 7-spoke wheels. They clear the Z32 brake package incase I upgrade and arent ugly like the tri-stars I had. Oh yea, got SE fogs an the SE lip too.

    Pics:

    Gotta represent, White Fender Racing:

Here is my temporary amp rack, I was gonna carpet it but I may make a new design since I'm adding the PC into the mix and I'd like some active cooling as well.

I also made the engine repairs, but I'm still burning oild due to what I believe is failing piston rings. I'm aquiring a new engine which is being prepared for some boost.

    HOWDY FELLOW 200SX'er :

Nice ride you got there Shame about the weezy 2.4 truck engine

Not too keen on the 3-spokes though

You might wanna look at the links in my signature

SXOC.co.uk is also a good resource for you to read through, plenty of modded car there

There is nothing weezy about the KADE, drives like a V8 below 3000rpm and wakes up again at 4000 when the IRMC's open up. I rather enjoy being able to shift at 2000rpm and not have to worry about the car chugging along. Too bad the LS* series motors from GM are truck motors too -- poor Corvette owners...

The 3-spokes are gone, well sorta -- they are in my back yard awaiting sale.

Thanks for the links, I typically live off of NorthWestNissans, Zilvia, FreshAlloy, FloridaDrift, FloridaFail, OrlandoForums and NICO. I need to finish one project and stop starting more. I have two rotaries to deal with plus getting my 240 to look pretty.

    might I suggest http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/consult_if.shtml
This is where I bought my data cable for my OBD-1 nissan NX2000. As for software you have alot of choices. There is datascan (what I use most often) that comes with the cable.
there is also conzult free, (built for 300zx's but works with most nissan's)
Calumsult which was built by a member on www.sr20forum.com
and SRtalk which was built for sr20's but can also work on most obd1 nissan's.

If you are doing anykind of tuning or troubleshoooting I would HIGHLY recommend this cable!
