If anyone was wondering what the hell happened to the worklog, I will be restarting it shortly, a few things had happened- My Lilliput bit the dust, my M1-ATX was replaced by a M2-ATX, as the system kept re-booting since I was at the 3.3v limit for that PS. Last week my clutch burned up, so I'm replacing it with a Spec stage 3, and I decided to get my full exhaust replaced while it's in the shop with ceramic coated Jet Hot longtube race headers, 3" off-Road Y-pipe, and a Hooker catback muffler system. It's costing me about $2700.00 so that's why I haven't had any updates yet. In about 2 weeks, I should be finishing things up.

Alright, I got some time to work on it today. I started by fabricating a lid for the fiberglass PC enclosure housing the motherboard, HD, and PS:
I cut a shape out of 3/4" MDF, then cut out an area for a access hatch. I then routered the inside lip so the hatch door can slide into the lip. I then cut a lid out of plexiglass, and drilled a finger hole in it to ease removal:
Next, I carpeted both of them using black carpet. I originally was going to use the same color carpet I used on the amp rack, but I wanted to get this done. Besides, it's behind the seat on the floor. Heres a few pics of the two pieces being carpeted after being sprayed with 3M Super 90 spray glue:
After the lid was carpeted, I needed to attach it to the fiberglass "tub" I had mounted the components in. I whipped up some fiberglass resin, and a little torn up mat and fiberglassed the top to the tub in several places:
After it cured:
Then mounted into the car, and wired in:

Next, I turned my attention to the LCD. I previously had mounted the LCD driver board to the back of the LCD using square wood dowels, hot glue, and velcro. It wasn't very solid, and I was constantly worried about vibration causing it to fall off while mounted in-dash. After replacing my Lilliput 8", I spaced the driver board off of the back of the LCD module using plastic stand-offs. I then glued them to the back of the module using plastic epoxy, then screwed the board into the stand-offs:
Here is a pic of the inside of the dash. In my first install, I had the HD, motherboard, and M1-ATX all mounted inside the dash. This time around, I mounted a USB hub in the dash cavity, and plugged all my USB devices into it. The powermate in the center console, the BU-353 GPS antenna under the dash pad, the Lilliput touchscreen, and a USB extension are all plugged into the hub. The other end of the extension is ran behind the plastic panel where the traction control button is, next to the cigarete lighter. To load music, all I have to do is pop that cover off, and plug my USB flash drive in. I plan on integrating it into the plastic next to the traction control switch.:
Finally, a few pictures of the interior of the car and the system:
