1 pico PSU 120watt
Now I am trying to find the money time and patience to start this project.
Should I use the tablet or the mini-itx?
How should I regulate the 12v required by the pico psu/power the tablet?
Should I fiberglass the dash or just bondo it?
I'm welcome to ideas.
I just got the pico PSU and was reading up on it, since it was kind of an impulse buy, and discovered that it requires a regulated/steady 12v energy supply. I am trying to think of the best way to do that, and am having some difficulties. And another thing: Do I need to fiberblass my screen? Or will bondoing it in suffice?
Looks like the opening to the dash is larger then the screen bezel. You will prolly have to add some thin wood or abs plastics to make it fit.Originally Posted by Das
You can use a 12v rail on a dc-dc psu. I would prolly go with the mini-itx to be safe.

Got bored one day, thought... I like computers.. I like my truck... This was also my first time working with fiberglass, bondo, and paint. I think it turned out alright.
if you look closely, I used sticks from the yard
Materials to fiberglass.
First coat of bondo.
Had to go get more supplies.
No one told me not to put the glazing putty all over it.
Sanded it and this is what it looked like after primer.
Glazed some more
Finally finished!
Finally got all of the ribbon cables back where they were supposed to be, and the screen finalized into place.
