id love to see more pics in steps as you do this. i like the 10.2" lcd but thats just nuts. lol.. i like it :P.. anyhow, i also have an 06si and right now im in the process of mapping everything out and making sure i get the logistics of it all down first. like where im mounting the dvd, what fm tuner im using(since the radio will be gone, gps etc etc. where did you decide to mount the carputer? I was looking where im gonna mount mine and i was actually thinking about getting rid of the spare and using all that space to hide my carputer, amps etc.. anyways, umm yeah like i said, any info or pics would be great. I was also thinking about using the glovebox area to mount stuff in along with forming a keyboard to the glove box door.. like i said at this moment everything is only on paper and im tring to figure out the best way to go about it.

i got some more done and unfortunetly i cant post any pics, sorry. BTW dont try to cram a 10" into the hole it a tight fit im going to have to make the vent smaller to fit it all in.

the computer cant go in the trunk thats where my massive 2500watt sub is going so im going to gace to scout a new location under the seat maybe, the glove box it too small and there dosnt seem to be space behind it, so that sux.

i just ordered a fm tuner, it awsome it eaven has a input jack for the antenna
    its a "Radio-extreme"
http://www.radio-xtreme.com/RadioXtreme.htm it cost me CND$65.50 SHIPPED

the keyboard i will be using is a small ps2 one that im going to mould into the sun visor.

WHAT THE HELL how did that come off.lol, I'll use the pieces from the bezel i cut off to fill in some of the empty space.

this is the back i attached some wires so i can line the screen up, get all of the angles right. the last thing that you want is the screen being croaked.

Back of the bezel shown here

this is a pic of the wires "professionally attached " with the recommended affixiant, hot glue.YAH. if your wondering i cut a peice of glass the same size as the screen so i dont mess it up. the wires are temporary.

i dry fitted the fake screen in the car to get all of the angles right, i tried to make sure that there is minimal glare from the windows and so the screen is more or less paralel to the driver and passanger.

i would have done more today but i didnt have the correct two part epoxie(plastic bumper repair) so ill pick some up tomarrow and try to get some work done. I hope. the CD-DVD rom MUST go in the top ejecting upwards not towards you, that should look good.

BTW the screen dosnt fit, lol but I'll make it work, and look good.

also im thinking of painting the center consle(where the tach is) and the screen bezel the colour of the car, ir leather wrapping it like in the new eclips.

This is a nice project , I like when people cut up their new cars , it requires braveness .

One thing I noticed ; In the ebay auction you left tons of personal information , and you are building a CarPC , might be good to ask ebay to take it off in case some people come to your home and break into your car.

Good luck on your project , I cant wait to see more

Your Project Looks Awsome so far. Keep up the great work. I have a question about the screen's glass your molding into the bezal. What are the exact measurements of it in cm's or inch's. I'm seriously considering this screen for my project but just want to be sure I can make it fit in my dash.
